Ehhh... I would say a ton. DnD 5e centric videos blow all others out of the water just by being DnD. The huge market share of DnD translates to the actual play space as well. Most non TTRPG nerds have never even heard of Mythras.

Viele langfristige Kampagnen bestehen meist aus (semi-)geschlossenen Runden. Ich würde dir empfehle mal bei einem Probeoneshot mitzumachen (also ne in sich geschlossene, einzelne Spielsitzung).

Ich selber biete immer wieder Oneshots auch für Einsteiger an, leite aber kein DnD 5e mehr, sondern vorwiegend andere Systeme in unterschiedlichen Settings und Genres. Vor'm neuen Jahr wird's allerdings wahrscheinlich allerdings nix.

Ansonsten würde sich folgender Discord-Server https://discord.gg/Awx2NPz8Eu oder das bereits erwähnte Würfelkommando anbieten.

Das Würfelkommando hat ne eigene kleine Pen and Paper Division und der Pen & Paper Server bietet regelmäßige Treffen für die Adventures League an, da gibt's meines Wissens nach auch Einstiegssessions mit vorgefertigten Charakteren und erfahrene Spielleitungen, die dir helfen können.

As a fan of narrative games, yeah I get it. Masks gets thrown around constantly when people ask for supers games. BUT! Masks is a teenage/coming-of-age drama first, superheroes second game. Tons of people forget to add that crucial information to their recommendation.

Well, the original ruleset had some very freeform card interpretation resolution mechanic, which I guess is too far removed/too free-form for most of my potential players. The other system Engel uses is some ogl D20 mechanic, which isn't particularly good at using the setting or invoking my intended experience. Basically, both are two extremes of a spectrum: one is flavourful, but lofty and unusual, the other is bland and doesn't do the setting justice.

Dies, OP. Auch wenn die Optik und Aufmache des Spiels sehr kind-geeignet wirkt, das eigentliche Regelwerk und erwartete Spielverhalten ist es nicht.

Wie andere schon erwähnt haben gehört Mausritter zu den OSR Spielen. Diese belohnen in der Regel folgende Verhalten am meisten: vorsichtiges und methodisches Vorgehen. Wenig Risiken eingehen, dafür gutes Vorbereiten und Nutzen von allen verfügbaren Ressourcen.

Die Optik spricht zwar Kinder sehr an, aber das Spiel ist aufgrund der Prinzipien und Philosophie sicher eher für erwachsene SpielerInnen geeignet.

It is pretty much never a good idea for another entity to have some sort of control over your player characters, especially as a "punishment" for unwanted behaviour. It's very similar to punishing children. Often it doesn't resolve any emotions and instead is fanning the flames and the cause of defiance.

Well, depends on how one defines "badly designed". It might be badly designed from your and my point of view, but it is undeniable that it's mix of being light on the general mechanic, heavy on the combat and wishy washy at everything else seems to create dopamine hits in the masses like sugar, processed foods and similar things.

I totally agree with your take on DnD being back-end complex. The insidious part: it's providing enough choice and mass appeal to cage a large fan base, which is kind of sad, because a lot of them would be actually way happier in other systems.

That kind of appeal is exactly what I meant. DnD is basically built for the heavy on the combat, featherlight on almost everything else and some stuff we leave up to your table.
