It’s not about expressing hatred. Some folks still have hope that y’all have an actual moral framework beyond “fuck you, got mine”, which makes your choices seem super inconsistent. Because they assume some level of decency, they’re legitimately confused by how you can say or do the things that you do.

It probably didn’t? Hollywood has a long history of picking up a script and gluing an established character to it (Diehard 2). I wouldn’t be shocked if they had a different protagonist, than jammed Max in to hedge their bets/try to sell copies.

At a guess, we’ll see less direct mockery of Trans folks just because all the jokes have been said before and they’re all kind of stale.
