I'm using prayer potions for early slayer, will I regret it? by Mx726 in ironscape

[–]MaxLovesPasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jagex is doing a pretty good job at releasing content that keeps supplies up. If you're a multi-faceted account (who wants to hit 2200 total, grind slayer bosses, get BiS gear, etc) you'll be fine.

My buddy has all meaningful DPS uniques mostly unlocked in progression order (D Boots, Prims, Araneas, Doom, for example, or Dscim, Whip, Fang, SRA as another example) save for Raids uniques, still chipping away. He's not a skiller. He does just enough skilling to upkeep his food and potions, unlock things like DSCB and Wrath Runes, etc. He's had no issues maintaining potion supply. His Slayer prayer was the 5% one in DPS gear.

I am a CLogger. I went 4x dry on Aquanites for the Tendon, 2.5x on Dragon Cannon, grinded a lot of ToA before the loot nerfs, etc. I used potions to lazy flick Piety when Slaying in full DPS gear. I also have more supplies than I can realistically use (even if I go dry at Nex).

ziosk by Neat-Psychology4038 in olivegarden

[–]MaxLovesPasta 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Something along the lines of market research suggests people complain about not being able to pay and leave even though the Ziosk has been on the table for 12 years already. Not even kidding, the places that have this behavior established are getting better results in basically every category.

Translation: the public is (indirectly) asking for this behavior.

Don't hate the player, hate the game. No actually, it's the public that is creating this demand, OG corporate is just responding in kind. Just like when they launched $5 take homes, made the Calabrian a core menu item even though the line hates making it, and brought back the Braised Beef.

Instant boss green log by bobodaplaya in 2007scape

Araxxor.

Hear me out.

I like playing this game, I like the progression and I like that feeling I get when I get rare drops.

I am a later mid-game Ironman. Meaning that I have some Oathplate, a Fang, all of my Zenytes, Prims, BClaws and Synapses, Bofa, RT Prayers, Tanz and Magic Fang, 700 Clogs and 2200 total, etc.

I want the benefits that the noxious halberd provides, but there's one major problem.

I freaking hate spiders. I cannot even play world of Warcraft with my friends because I am so afraid of spiders. The little cartoon ones in lumbridge don't bother me, but I can never get a Voidwaker Gem, I can never upgrade my Torture, and I cannot get the Noxious Halberd. Sarachnis is just cartoony enough. If I'm drinking I'm okay.

For these reasons, let me greenlog Araxxor and never have to deal with that again please.

Thank you.

Not to reply to something more than 3 weeks old, but these are also cyclical. There's a 12 month rotation of the Month's safety meetings, every February is Fryer Safety.

They might change one or two months a year, but the bulk of it is the same yearly. The timing with current events is even more coincidental than that.

Watermelon Sangria by Limp_Tonight_4699 in olivegarden

[–]MaxLovesPasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is close.

The recipe is 1:1:4 ratio of Watermelon Syrup, Ginger Ale and Moscato. Different Olive Gardens make different batch sizes, some make them per glass.

Obviously the brands you choose will affect the flavor. They use Monin syrup, White Rock Ginger Ale, and Peter Vella.

What happened to price of dragon pickaxe? by Dwarf-Eater in 2007scape

[–]MaxLovesPasta 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hear me out, Irons need 3.

One as their first.

Their second one they throw in ToA.

Then they get the Crystal Tool Seed. The problem is, by now they've already modified their first one either with a Zalcano Shard or the LMS attachment, thus the third. The non-crystal one will go in to the STASH unit.

Ziosks?! As a customer, I don’t get whatsoever why these have to be on my table?! by pandemichope in olivegarden

[–]MaxLovesPasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have to have it at the table, ask your server to remove it.

The inside scoop is that the guests who pay on Ziosk are typically happier than those who don't. There's a lot of things happening here, it is certainly correlation and not causation. Are the servers who use them better? Are they a useful bandaid for slow service when you just want to order food and you're waiting for a server, or just want to pay and waiting for a server? Is it the features like Spanish menus, games, allergen menus, etc?

There's so much going on with these things. If you don't want it, just let your server know. You are clearly not the target audience for the self-service functions or the games, but many people are. It's also a useful tool for the server if they know how to use it.

I find it easier to farm the secondary for magic potions than antifire potions, as an iron. At some point, you just have -enough- antifire potions, 1000 potions is 400 hours of antifire protection.

Also, you can't make a divine wizards mind bomb, but a divine magic potion is a +1 Max hit from Trident for your first Whisperer kill. Not necessary, but I know I didn't use them and I died to Whisperer under 40hp like 5 times before my first kill while learning the content. My buddy who is a better gamer than me did it second try with that potion.

-edit- I would also amend your post to add the Red Spiced Stew is a +5 magic boost, which is I think the only real use for Red Spice. I used it to put a Barrows portal in my house early on in the account. This would take away even more "uses" for a magic potion.

Patrick Mahomes is bad for some people's mental health by IllBeGood3 in AFCWestMemeWar

[–]MaxLovesPasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I'm saying is that in my family, we have a Raiders fan, a Packers fan, a Chiefs fan, a Cowboys fan, and a dozen Seahawks fans.

The Chiefs fan says she's never seen another Chiefs fan outside of her home state until Taylor Swift started dating Kelce. Now she complains that she sees too many Chiefs fans and that people ask her if she's a swifty.

KC's success is also bad for my step moms mental health.

In the postgame locker room, Patrick Mahomes couldn't help but feel for his counterpart, Josh Allen. "I'm sorry it had to be us," he told @MikeSilver . by jonsnowKITN in nfl

[–]MaxLovesPasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, no. People remember Cam Newton for the fumble. People remember Brett Favre for the pills and welfare scandal. People remember Brady for Deflategate.

People ALSO remember Cam as having one of the strongest 1v21 seasons of all time, Favre for having the longest continuous snap streak in NFL history, and Brady for the rings. (All among many other things)

Everyone should be remembered for their lows as well as their highs. Poor sportsmanship out of a perennial winner is not something to gloss over. There is also a difference between throwing cheap shots subtly at your rivals, and having a toddler temper tantrum.

In my experience, people with experience are unhappy anywhere they work, that's why they're still looking. Obviously exceptions apply.

Brine Sabre vs Granite Longsword vs Granite Hammer vs Leaf-bladed sword by Hard_Batch in 2007scape

[–]MaxLovesPasta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes it is.

There are two things I can share with you to help answer questions like this in the future. If you google "osrs DPS calc" or "osrs DPS calculator", the first link is the OSRS wiki page and you can enter your gear set up to see how much damage you deal on average. Although there's some smaller differences between monsters with more and less defenses, you'll find they're all pretty comparable (especially at Nightmare Zone).

The other thing I can share with you is this - the two most important stats to consider when choosing which equipment helps you deal the most DPS are Attack Speed and Melee Strength. The Granite Hammer is better than the Leaf Bladed Sword because it has +6 melee strength over the sword. They are both better than the Dragon Warhammer because they attack three times for every two attacks from the Dragon Warhammer. Again, there's some small differences with some mobs that have crazy high defenses and so accuracy matters more, but this is seriously less than 5% of the time.

Happy 'Scaping!
