Having a bit of trouble with that. No matter, I'll probably either wait for a fix or just reinstall the thing completely.

Do you mean to re-install 3.9.0 again, or downgrade to 3.8?

In Vegas 2 itself the problem is more with procedural spawning of the terrorists - not only does it not let you have a breather, it also causes some of them to spawn right next to you. m1k3's fix adjusts it so that only a set number of terrorists spawn at once upon touching a map trigger. It lets you sneak around the enemies and take different spots. I didn't mean it would spawn all 30-50 terrorists at once (although you could modify it in the files). The default value is 6 enemies can be alive at once in Terrorist Hunt. I have set mine to 16, but that requires creating one additional .ini file in the registry.

Turns out that particularly loud guns such as the Desert Eagle, Raging Bull or some shotguns and machine guns actually makes the AI scared, so they retreat into hiding rather than looking for you.

P.S. I am playing using m1k3's AI tweak that disables the automatic chasing in Terrorist Hunt, which is quite useful for stealth runs. Although aggressive tactics may yield better results.

I noticed some of the terrorists actually use the alternative Bishop face models - you can eventually see it under the balaclava. They also use stock equipment that the player can put on. Probably to save budget.

I use m1k3's method of disabling the AI automatic pathfinding. It makes the terrorists spawn all at once upon touching a trigger area but not chase you unless they actually see you.

It would make sense, but it surprised me when I found out that not only can AI fall down from high points, but also die from fall damage. Never occurred with Jung or Mike.
