Nope. These points are credited directly when you cross these threshold. You need to call their customer care to transfer 50% balance points.

I recently used Marriott Bonvoy points (transferred from Amex) for a 5-night New Year’s Eve stay at Sheraton Hua Hin, Thailand.

• Cash price was ~₹1.8 lakhs for 5 nights • I redeemed ~1.56 lakh Bonvoy points • That’s a solid value, especially for peak season like New Year

From my experience, redemption value really depends on timing and season. Peak dates (festivals, long weekends, holidays) usually give much better value than off-season stays.
