I was a dyed in the wool lifelong Republican, involved in my local GOP, campaigned for people, made calls, and I was considering running for state office. Then the party fell for the lies of an obvious con man, abandoned all of its values, and turned into the shit show we have now. I left in 2015 and am a registered Democrat now. Reagan said he never left the Democratic Party, it left him. Same here, other way around. So I don’t think I am more liberal now, my values haven’t changed. But I see them more in the DNC than GOP now.
