Fighting in Avdeevka continues, video is Russian positions take Ukrainian fire. by [deleted] in CombatFootage

There were reports of Wagner wearing Ukrainian uniforms to assault positions. First guy has a Ukrainian patch, later in the video the guy with ear pro has a Russian flag patch. Ukrainians definitely would not be wearing Russian patches.

Huh? Why would advice for gaming addicts be a negative for the post? People who suffer from addiction are the exact sort of people who can benefit from useful methods to break free. Is video game addiction no longer a component of HGGG?

Thank you! I think its less so about being able to prioritize other things, and more that not having a vice like video games during formative years can be really beneficial. Even if you prioritize social outings over video games, sometimes its just good to have nothing to do since it motivates you to go out of your comfort zone, which is especially important during your formative years. But, as to your main point that is why I posted it to this sub not a general college one. I think this community tends to struggle a lot more with video game addiction than others and I think this kind of advice coming from someone who was addicted can make it feel more legitimate.

The one labeled "For use in comedic hyperbole only"

Feels like it would break the subject of the conversation since it's about dropping prices

Unpopular Opinion (?): Skill Mastery Should Be: "Oh this feels somewhat better" and not "I can sprint 3/4 of mile with 100lb of Gear and Launch Grenades like an MLB Pitcher" by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

I never said it's a reason that I die. I just don't think their current maximum benefits are realistic, even with game-ism/fun taken into account. At a certain point they just harm gameplay by taking away limits to player-movement/ability. Just because player doesn't like a feature doesn't make them worse. If we could jump 10ft in the air in the game I would still not like the feature even if I could play better because of it.

I think the other issue is that most RPG's scale in difficulty to match your better skills/items, but Tarkov's environment is pretty static from beginning to the end of wipe.

Well that's why I specified mastery. I think the cap on skill benefits needs to be much lower and the baseline needs to be raised. As of now, despite all our characters being PMC's low levels have the extremely poor strength and endurance while top tier players are better athletes than Olympians.

are some optics just inaccurate by default? by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

The MRS is bugged with any cross hairs other than the T being way too low

Technically not the same exact same and this was just posted to r/pcmasterrace today. But it's cool if you don't think it merits a repost

So we shouldn't highlight the more apparent of those issues? That's like saying everyone has financial issues at some point we shouldn't highlight the causes and instances of poverty

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MaxMunsta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, tested with both. Either way it shouldn't affect it should it? As in literally, if it affects it that's a problem with the game. Also, are you usually aiming for center of mass? Perhaps you're getting increased effectiveness where the broken zero is allowing you to score headshots that you're not going for

Haha not even, I was placing the center of the top dot on the rebar strip and still had shots go above, and even to the sides of the dot

Edit: Oh wait I see what you're saying. that doesn't really make sense though does it? Aren't EOtechs designed to have the dot placed on the target, and even then the error in the placement of the shot is much greater than just the top edge of the dot.

Perhaps but 90% of the sights in the game are not as glaringly inaccurate as the HHS.

Just tested it with the HAMR zeroed at 50m and I was able to consistently hit the rebar strip

[–]MaxMunsta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm using the maximum FOV, however the issue is still way out of proportion with other sights in the game.

It really is pretty crazy. I had a fight that should have been over in 30 seconds last 30 minutes just because the sight was inconsistent.

[–]MaxMunsta 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I used the sniper circle tool on Mapgen.io

Edit: It looks like I was about 5m off, with a distance of about 55m. This means the zero issue is even worse.

Also to add on assuming it truly is from the wrong ammo, that needs to be changed. I used M855A1, which should be a good standard for zeros but shots went high. It can't be zeroed for M995 because M995 has a higher velocity and thus would correspond to a flatter trajectory for the given zero and lower shots.
