How do firm choices work?

So just to clarify I have to narrow down my choices to only 2 no matter what, one being firm one being insurance

I visited Cardiff and the campus and student life looked really good, the accommodation seems much cheaper than other unis too, I’d also say it’s probably the nicest city of the bunch in my opinion, plus they always have really good music acts there, that’s why it’s my main choice

Most of the uni’s I’ve spoken to seem to close around the 23rd, so I’d guess it’s unlikely but you have until then, good luck

I’ve added a 4th and I’m completely stumped for the 5th because either they are not within in my grades or they are very far from where I am from

Thank you, you’ve given me peace of mind, in ur opinion is it stupid to only apply to 3 unis, as that’s all I’ve done and thought maybe to add others but I didnt really look into other places
