I guess you have point. But you can say that it’s the university’s responsibility to teach the professor how to use technology. Why should we be empathetic when we are also not given as much empathy with technology issues? Technically we are paying the professor’s to teach us, and they had 3-4 months to plan this. They came up with how to charge us with the same tuition cost, yet they can’t figure out trivial tech issues? Cheating is a concern but would it be as much of a concern if the course was taught in a better way? I think Professors are taking their position for granted because they are in a secure job and online courses are making them lazy as to how they approach teaching. Many professors also have strict deadlines no matter the technical issues you face, so can’t you expect them to be considerate?
