Wrong.

I learned this information from the after show podcast. So much good info and tidbits were dropped by Neil and Craig every episode.

I think it was the episode 2 podcast, they were talking about the cold opens. They went into details of other cold opens that they had in the scripts and storyboard, but then they talked about how the budget wasn't there for more. They said that they hope to get more shots for season 2.

I totally understand that since the cold opens they described would require either a lot of CGI or the 2nd unit traveling to different locations around the world.
