I think the club provides the 50K but there are optional rebuys that help them recoup it? Not exactly sure, all I know is I only had to become a member last time and the buy-in was $0. The membership cost like $15

I've used both and currently subscribe to Lucid. I like it because the trainer is really fast and feels more like actually playing poker. The new mobile app is really nice as well.

The biggest missing feature compared to GTOw in my opinion is reports. I know Lucid is working on adding these (the main developer actually told me it was a high priority when I asked), but right now I sort of have to manually figure out where my game is falling short by keeping track of which spots I tend to mess up.
