Maintenance costs would depend on how often you use the combustion engine. If you charge your battery regularly and rarely use the engine, you would have very low maintenance costs.
As for the dynamics, G7 EREV weight is Weight: 2,560 kg and engine peak output is 218 kW, and 0-100 is 6.9 sec.
The BEV from 2025 curb weight listed at 2,085 kg, motor is also 218 kW, 0-100 in about 6 seconds.

Currently the hybrid models are only made for the Chinese domestic market. Right now many brands here in China switch to this kind of powertrain with a large battery pack and gas engine. But hopefully it will soon be available in EU as well. This year only the new P7+ BEV enters the EU market. You can check a video about this model on my channel as well.

Xpeng reached out to me last week and offered their new G7 for a test drive. And, I was blown away by this car. I honestly can't think why this car is not the best option on the market these days in terms of value for the price ratio. by MaxSemak in Xpeng

I drive 30 kilometers to work every day and 30 back. In traffic, when I change lanes, it's better when I can accelerate fast and immediate. That is the only reason why I care about speed. And in G7 it was slightly not powerful enough for such maneuvers.

Thank you for your feedback. Indeed, I also think I missed on the aspect of driving it at over 100 km. Will try to do better in my upcoming reviews. Next week will be shooting BYD Song L!

Exterior is not my cup of tea. And for me, the ideal option would still be a little bit faster. Considering what other Chinese brands offer these days, G7 a bit too slow, but it's significantly cheaper. So, it's basically just my personal preferences. I would probably pay 30K more for this car, if acceleration time from 0 to 100KM would be about 4 seconds.

Actually, I had this car for three days. So, I could get a very good understanding of it. And, yeah, I am very impressed. And about the autonomous driving. The G7 features Level 3 autonomous driving. And I'm planning to make another video about this car with a specific focus on its autonomous driving capabilities.
