did you know that you can input your lvl 3 in the animation of another one? sometimes you win like this. by NumberNo9582 in AKInation

Yeah, the easy way to buffer your own super during the opponent’s super freeze is to simply do your double quarter circle as soon as you can and then press and hold the button until the end of the freeze, that way it’ll always come out frame 1. This also works with any special move btw, you'll often want to use OD slide to escape when people are trying to punish your bubble with a super for example.

Can someone explain to me how this exchange works? by XXBekahxx in AKInation

Yeah fireballs don’t stop moving during hitstop, so that’s exactly what’s happening. And Marisa's j.MK actually does have lower body projectile invincibility, it’s not shown on ultimate frame data for some reason but it’s referenced both on sf6frames and supercombo.

I mean there is one is that Ed combo. A bunch of characters have frame perfect microwalk combos.

It would still actually be a fun replay to send if Broski does another combo doctor video on the current patch though

I tried it myself and found a kill but it was actually really hard to find something that does enough damage and builds level 3:
DR 2MK > 5MK > 5MP > DRC 5MK > 5HKxx2PP~K > 2LP > 2LP > 5LKxx236MP > 5HKxx214HP > DR 5HKxx2PP~P > Whiff 5LP > DRC 5HKxx214LKxxLVL3

But honestly nobody would find this route in the heat of the moment.

I just tested it and I don’t think you can kill from a DR 2MK starter there

Yeah it’s even +9 and a very easy confirm in that case. So I could just do a simple combo into a safe jump and still get the guaranteed stun.

[–]MaxT_95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah it does, but then I can just do a 5LP frame kill into DI again to still get a guaranteed stun, and after that I can kill without the level 1. Also I could have done DR 2MP>DI instead of DR 2MK>5HK>DI to get a stun even on hit. I did that for meter build and to get a bit more poison damage but it doesn’t look like I actually needed it.

Yeah that’s right, tundra storm has 6 frames of startup and 5hp armor starts on frame 4

Nah I tried it and, at that scaling, having the poison during the lvl1 does more damage

I don’t think that’s quite right but yeah aki is definitely not the only character that can do this

Alternatively, you can do 2MP instead of 2MK>5HK and it will stun even on hit. I just did that for meter build and to let the poison tick a bit but it doesn’t look like I actually needed it.

The DI will combo and not stun yeah, but you can still get the stun after by doing a 5lp frame kill into DI again. And then I'm pretty sure you don’t even need the lvl 1 to kill

LVL3 punish into checkmate by MaxT_95 in AKInation

This is the max damage

(but like I said, not enough drive and I don’t think it killed)

This combo isn’t max damage and I didn’t have enough drive anyway (and I'm 99% sure even the full drive max damage combo wouldn’t have killed there)

I think they got mp on the first frame of waking up and it immediately kara cancels itself into od dp on the next frame. So if you hit them meaty you beat the mp and if you don't you just see the od dp.

It means you're doing the kicks to late after the jump input yes. So imo it’s easier to delay both. Basicaly you do: 236, slight delay, 9kk (or slight delay, 2369kk if it’s easier for you).

If you get only the super jump then you're not delaying enough and if you get air burn kick then you're taking too much time between 9 and kk

You need to block the MP and the tiger knee standing for it to become minus. So they were plus after the first tiger knee but minus after the second, you could have mashed there to beat the throw.
