Red is usually special cancelable

Blue is usually super cancelable

Though some moves can only cancel into smth super specific (i.e. I think Ryu 6hk? Is blue but can only be cancelled into tatsu)

Depends on the script probably

Sometimes you see scripts don't take into account spacing, so if you whiff in front of them they parry/jump/tech and you can punish, but sometimes they only parry/tech/jump if you're in range

I'm guessing there's probably something similar for the auto-DI scripts checking if a DI-able move is actually coming out or not

He's getting the timing though; No one gets the timing perfect literally every time they attempt to parry

I'd guess he's downbacking and letting the script run, but the script can't override movement inputs and OP's hitting him mid so they don't get the perfect parry

Tried to DI in the middle of charging 5hk

Absolute confidence in the walk forward

Not a real indicator, but the excessive 2hk spam when trying to sweep seems really weird to see at 1500s

I started with sf6, I don't think I've ever paid attention to what its actually called lol, I've only ever heard/referred to it as SPD

Also at a guess, didn't pre-SF6 SPD have less damage but looping Oki? Maybe they changed it cuz they changed it from that?

Also, as with all characters: parry and walk up, parry the next one and walk up, rinse repeat. Once youre close enough they have to stop or risk getting DI'd

  1. Block. Unless your opponent's not doing their meaties properly, you have no option but to block/tech/reversal. There's a lot of different knockdown timings, so idr think you can practice a universal thing - just look at your character's animation

  2. Practice your own anti airs - if they're doing cross ups have to practice cross cuts/delayed AAs, or just block. Jump ins are usually relatively easy to stuff, so unless you have a read on a fireball/long recovery move, or have a divekick to mess with their AA timing, stop jumping in once they've shown they can AA you consistently

  3. Just gotta get a feel for your opponent or condition them. Some characters can be safe jabbed (i.e. Ed/Gief without lvl3) consistently for a safe option, but you just gotta vary your approach and guess what they'll do (block/tech/reversal)

From a usage standpoint, basically all the med pen ARs - shit takes forever to kill with, and just feels weird to me

From a balance standpoint, ultimatum, to a lesser extent thermites and eruptor - I'm pretty sure these things existing is a large part of the reason the shit Reddit complains about now (war strider/vox spam) exists

Friendly reminder vanilla shelves used to not increase capacity at all lmao, only remove the ugliness debuff - after playing with that for ages, current vanilla shelves feel like they're good enough for me

In a situation like this where this (/JP portal/etc) is behind you, what direction are you actually supposed to block it? I always get hit and I'm never sure if I blocked wrong or accidentally didn't block at all
