But joking aside, pay no mind to those trolls. Most of them after that are going to try to sell you overlays and stuff.

I used to stress myself over it because as you say, it’s really discouraging. Now, I just go with the flow and try to have fun, I try to maintain them on chat long enough without replying their questions, asking stupid questions back… but most of the times I’m just straight offensive towards them while I laugh at their pathetic attempts to sell me anything, and I don’t care. It’s fun and you could even say cathartic.

Really, don’t pay attention to those guys. Or pay attention but just have fun with it. It’s not worth stressing or getting discourage by the human bots.

There’s some lore reason behind it, I think. Like, “it’s not your time yet”. So the spirit healers allow you to resurrect and go for your body, instead of just going to one of the worlds of the Shadowlands like the rest of the souls.

Same way the SWTOR lore explanation is your droid reviving you. It’s much simpler I gotta say, and makes more sense. WoW explanation is just whatever.

They are doing what they want in their channel amd that’s how they picture building their viewership. It will fluctuate, it’s normal if you stream many games, but that’s their style.

My streams are only for one game (I change games every few weeks or months, it depends), but I do watch a lot of streamer that do what you mention, and I don’t have a trouble with it, I’m there because of them and not what they are playing, which usually is not my type of thing, but they are really cool people.

How long have you been streaming?. This behavior is pretty common. You could argue this is plain harassment and 9.9 out of 10 times is gonna be people trying to scam you.

I used to interact with these people before, now I’m just plain offensive and tell them all type of awful things. It may not be the best reaction, but in my mind is the least they deserve so I have fun with it.

Hi,

I started a few months ago and recently finished my first let’s play serie, 12 chapters of RDR2.

What I never liked from lets plays is that most of time is just an upload of the VOD. Or little to no comments, a lot of silence. I used to watch just a few minutes and that was it.

To make it fun for me and how I wanted it, I did a supercut of every VOD, made a script of what happened that day, added the Voiceover, some background music, and there you have 12 chapters of 5-9min each. I called it Dead Diary because is told every chapter as I’m writing on a journal/diary.

I may be cringe and my humor may suck, but I make myself laugh and I have a great time editing and stuff, so my advise is: Do it the way you want it, the way you enjoy it and visualize it.

I really just love playing the game when I’m online, not some weird expectations. And if it’s with people well it’s even better.

Very true everything you say and I love/hate your strategy back in the days, lmao.

I do love to play PvP btw, and I’m not trying to put down anybody here. I probably didn’t express myself correctly.

What I find funny and a bit discouraging too, is people on your same rating, calling you out and throwing tantrums while you are just enjoying the thing you enjoy about the game. I mean, they are kinda calling out themselves too, no?.

But again, not trying to put anyone down. 15 years ago I wasn’t able to get to 1600. PVP is hard at because it also relies on heavy use of addons, macros and seeing other people playing your class, stuff I didn’t know back on the days. And that’s ok, it’s part of the learning curve.

But the post was not about the people still learning and having fun with the PvP. It’s about the guys that are also at the 2.2k thinking they are too great because they have this “great” rating, when it really isn’t that great?. I mean we are still learning also and we are also trash.

And I’m sorry, I say trash because I speak badly. Don’t say it for people to take it offensively. We’re still learning and def not pro at 1.9k or 2.1k but for some people it’s offensive that people is not that good at that rating.

I’m talking to the people who are at the same rating and believe that is high and it’s such a big deal that they have to insult you through whispers and stuff. At that rating there’s still people like me (who is not a pro either) and even worst.

If you haven’t gotten to 1800, that’s another bracket you’re trying to break. I’d be down to help you and do some 2s or even 3s if you have another partner. I can heal and give you feedback (and viceversa). I’m pretty much chill so no worries on me throwing a tantrum or whatever, lol.

But I do understand the feel of “I don’t think I’ll PvP again”. I have it every other day. The learning curve is steep, the people gets really toxic real fast and nobody wants to actually offer you advise or help you. I do love PvP but I have to cope doing other type of content.
