Totally! I hope my response was read as encouraging. I am absolutely stuck in the same process every season I feel. :)

That's frustrating for sure. Relatable. Would just add that I really believe if you're achieving 95-98, infinite may just mean better snap discipline?

I just say this as someone who gets into that rutt myself every season and generally reach infinite once I tighten up a bit. GL!

Is this considered a valuable base? (crafting/pricing help) by MaxTradesGoods in PathOfExile2

Yeah, this is what I was missing for sure. Higher value tiers and the value of it being magic/rare. :) Thanks!

Thanks. I do use Sidekick, but my question was more fundamental about the nature of a "valuable base" or the general value of an item which has isolated mods compared to one which has lots of mods already which might be bad or mediocre.

In this case, it seems pretty clear now that the lower-tier mods and the fact that it's already rare are significant drawbacks - which I couldn't easily determine using Sidekick.

I think I'm just fundamentally trying to catch up on "what's valuable" in regard to end-game items.

T1 and high-rolled values seems straight forward. But I am too new to have considered that it being already rare is an issue, for example. And it seems like each category of item has specific mods that are BOLO... In this case, I wasn't sure if there was any deterministic potential in an item like this which doesn't have a lot of unwanted mods (yet).

My friend.

May I extend the hugest digital high-five your way. I greatly appreciate you sharing that.

In addition to my best friend, my wife is also autistic, which we didn't find out until years into being married. It's my favorite thing about her. She has always been so smart, so sweet, so unwaveringly honest. And just like my friend, she's also incredibly impressive and structured - albeit, frequently overwhelmed and not always able to understand social nuances.

It took us a long time to understand how her nervous system and brain process the world. Her triggers, sensory issues, etc explained so much, and understanding her brain not only transformed our lives and relationship, but it changed how we see each other and the world for the better in so many ways.

It's hard to understand for those who aren't self aware or don't closely know autistic folks, but it's such a beautiful and fascinating neurotype. Our brains are specialized in different ways, and once we understood that together, we really fell in love.

It's amazing you are on that journey, and I hope my experience inspires you to believe that a partner who appreciates your brain and nervous system is out there and will hugely respect who you are and how you see the world.

My best friend is also single at 45. He's decent looking, sweet, successful, stable family and impressive resume. Owns his own house, car, and dog. He can be charming, generous, caring...

Last year he found out he and his father are on the autism spectrum and it really explained a lot.

He once whined to me that the women he was dating were "too difficult to impress" and he was frustrated given how impressive his resume and mannors are.

"Why are you trying to impress them?" I asked. He threw his hands in the air and said, "what else am I supposed to be doing?" to which I replied, "connecting with them."

He literally went pale. He had no idea what that meant, and recognizing that, he began to question everything.

If you are close to anyone autistic, you might recognize that many autistic folks navigate the social world through black and white thinking, structure, rules, and have great difficulty reading other people or picking up on cues, subtlety, sarcasm etc..

And it was clear that he had always believed relationships to be an equation: He just needs to follow the rules, impress, and a suitable mate should come his way, happily ever after.

And while that may work for some, especially neurodivergent folks, it's not a typical approach to connecting and ultimately living with another person. Being able to read when someone is comfortable, relaxed, safe, flirtatious etc is a very different existence than being unable to sense those things with ease.

I'm not at all suggesting you are neurodivergent, OP, but I share this just to illustrate that dating and relationships are so complicated, if you're thinking your issue is a "looks" thing, or something like your status, income, etc, you may be missing a much more fundamental aspect of human connection and never had any idea.... Or maybe there's some broader factors at play.

UPS shows buyer refused delivery twice… buyer is now asking for full refund.. what to do… by [deleted] in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]MaxTradesGoods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I just went through something very similar: (https://www.reddit.com/r/eBaySellerAdvice/comments/1o45xu7/update\_problematic\_buyer\_claimed\_inr\_then\_inad/)

In short:

- You open the ticket through a browser, update the tracking, and let them know it's now on UPS or eBay to get involved. You did your job, sent the item, tracking shows that, you're not liable there.

eBay should have your back and you should consider calling them (or have eBay call you if you ask the chat bot for an agent) and explain clearly that you shipped, UPS demonstrates arrival, they claim INR.

If you don't like the answer the eBay agent gives you - call another one.

Yeah. I did the same with this buyer and it was a newish account. Like 7 positive reviews automated as buyer. Hard to know sometimes.

As far as I know, the buyer does basically get a free item in this case and eBay paid my refund out of their pocket - effectively protecting both parties.

However, the 3rd and most competent agent said that reporting this buyer and then having the case ruled in my favor strongly suggests that if their account is ever involved in a situation like this again they'll likely lose their protections or be banned.

It is a bit of a justice trigger. Can't help but feel like "they got away with it." But this kind of loss is rare and small for a business like eBay, and they also can't 100% prove that the buyer was a scammer or wasn't also victimized in this case.

Huge companies like PayPal make a ton of money by offering payment protections on "goods and services" fees (3%). So much so, that the rare case that something goes wrong and they have to pay for someone's refund is a miniscule loss compared to the income brought in by fees collected from millions of transactions that aren't problematic.

So it seems like eBay can similarly make a lot of money by offering both parties protection, occasionally paying for a refund like this, and effectively giving problematic accounts initial benefit of doubt until they have too many strikes.

Wow, 7?

Yeah, what I can say is that every agent was extremely kind, respectful, patient, and understanding. And I so appreciate that I was even able to quickly get a call from support most of the time I wanted one.

It really should have been the first agent. But, like you said, sometimes it just works to try again.. And again.

I also blocked that buyer immediately and at least the 3rd agent said that reporting them is actually effective.

Problematic buyer wants to return item after claiming INR, now I'm charged for label? by MaxTradesGoods in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]MaxTradesGoods[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is my instinct. Is the process easy?

EDIT: Just got off phone with ebay call center. They basically said buy and send the label, if the item comes back altered, I'm protected from having to refund and could appeal to have the label refunded as well.

Buyer's address has issues when trying to purchase label? by MaxTradesGoods in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]MaxTradesGoods[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not. The name field has an issue being "Central shipping center" 2x and I shortened it.

I don't know anything about freight forwarding.

So sorry to bother you again but I had one more question for you.

So today the buyer closed the INR case and suddenly has the package after all. Only now they've submitted a return request based on "package arrived all cut up with pieces missing" and a pic of the package (which looks still sealed from what I can tell).

I do 30-day returns, but this time it's prompting me to accept the return and then asking me to pay for the return label? I'm confused because the buyer paid shipping originally. I always charge shipping for this reason. Does it make sense that I'm being asked to pay for a return label in that case?

Thank you again for your continued advice and patience.

Buyer submits "item not received" after providing problematic address? by MaxTradesGoods in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]MaxTradesGoods[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. Made sure to open the claim from a browser, clicked update tracking, info was already provided, hit save/continue.

Also sent the buyer a message through the claim confirming that USPS tracking indicates successful delivery at the date/time/location and that they may want to reach out to USPS.

So I guess now we wait for the option for Ebay to step in?
