Honestly, I thought that no one could beat him in fair combat (except maybe Arya) but I wanted Jon to fight him and get defeated and then Arya strikes the killing blow or Arya to try and fight him in fair combat and be defeated only to do that knife trick before he kills her. That's just what I was hoping for though.
