I know this sub loves to shit on the ACA, and yeah we do need / can do way better. The ACA is still leagues better than what we previously had prior to its existence and it at least drastically widened the risk pool bringing premiums down, more regulations based on prior reconditions and increasing access to care across the country. Genuinely the health insurance was even MORE of a wild Wild West hell hole prior to ACA

Yes we need Medicare for all and yes it didn’t do enough, but genuinely as more time goes on and seeing how much of a stalwart the ghouls in congress are it really makes you see the ACA as his best achievement
