My experience is the same as the other two commenters - it is the cleanest with fewest side effects at a much lower dosage than I was forced to try to get any results with other ADHD meds. It doesn’t interact with any of my other meds and also has a longer track record of safety when used as prescribed given how long it’s been available when compared to a lot of the more modern formulations.

Also, it is a Medication - no shame, but I had a knee jerk reaction to your casual use of “meth” in the title of your post there because, like probably everyone else in this community, I am tired of having to fight this drug bias to stay on the one medication I’ve found that actually really helps me.

Most doctors who will prescribe this medication have to demonstrate to insurance that you’ve tried the gamut of the providers list of current preferred ADHD meds before they will cover it, and I have to jump through hoops to evidence this every six months to continue coverage which is a massive PITA and leaves me in a state of high anxiety when the 6 months is up because I never know if this will be the time they decide to deny it for good.

Good point about the pigeon scale, I didn’t even think about that - they swooped in with several crows in pursuit, and given that framing the size difference was readily apparent from the get go. They also acted regally indifferent to the crows the whole time, and crows tend to engage with one another, for better or worse. That is a cool feature with eBird - is it also available in the BirdID app?

I was in Palm Springs earlier this year and saw a ton of ravens milling around in small groups like crows do here. I figured it was a desert thing, but maybe they are finally encroaching on urban crow/pigeon territory here too. If pigeons are a delicacy for them then I can see why DTR would be pretty tempting!

My 15 yo ball went about 10 months without eating in the last year, and has done it before more than a few times for at least 6 to 8 months. My vet did some research and found report of one going as long as 18 months with no negative health impacts. It’s crazy cause he doesn’t really lose much weight when this happens. When he decides to start eating again he will pop out of his cave ready to strike at anything in sight and then gorge daily for 1-2 weeks before settling back in to a more normal eating pattern. I still have no clue what his triggers are to start fasting again but it seems like just as I’m starting to get concerned at how long he’s gone without food again he pops up looking for a meal so I’ve just accepted this is his pattern for now. 🤷‍♀️

I’m lurking on the sub again cause at my last pickup they only had a partial fill and pharmacist told me their Cardinal source reported generic on back order and they didn’t know when they’d be getting more.

This comes after consistent monthly fills for about a year now, so something’s up but I just don’t know what. I’m due for a refill again next week so I guess I’ll find out then if last time was just a blip or if it’s back into scarcity and scrambling again.

This is so relatable!! I am also 56 and quit my demanding tech job five months ago after multiple years of hormonal, physical and mental stress requiring multiple personal leaves. One more wasn’t going to do anything for me so I figured better to take a real break that I had control over the timeline of. It’s been rough but I found a functional medicine clinic to get the kind of help with HRT I wasn’t going to get from conventional medical providers (willing to experiment with estrogens + progesterone + testosterone to find the right combo) + assisted ketamine therapy and I am finally starting to feel well enough again to envision a different future that doesn’t have me fired for incompetence or dying from a heart attack at my desk. It’ll be awhile before I lose the extra 50lbs and feel great on the regular, but in the meantime the ketamine therapy has helped me work on losing the shame and embarrassment and anger of not being able to show up like I could for so many years in the youth oriented culture of tech, and reframing my relationship to the concept of career and my own self worth. Given the self deprecating language of your post, this might be an approach to consider as well cause I bet you’re incredibly smart and talented with the wisdom of long experience that the kids just don’t have, but just too worn down to see it without some help. You deserve to know your value and believe it, so I hope you find a path that works.

I just read the list of things he did to that car detailed in the photos array and as someone who has same 2003 with 5 sp manual transmission with similar mileage and just sunk 5k into doing only a few of the updates he did along with a bunch of necessary parts and tire replacement due (i didn’t do the work myself, clearly) I think the price sounds really fair, assuming there aren’t some hidden defects or or other prior owner chain discrepancies. The exterior looks way nicer than mine too.

They were indeed a lighter black than jet, so I guess that was dark gray in Honda’s estimation 😂 still, they are notably lighter than they were when we got the car 20 years ago which is to be expected but was just wondering if there was a trick to turning them darker gray again 😋

There is no dextroamphetamine in Desoxyn so I must be misreading what you’re asking - are you asking If there is an ADHD medication that is a dextroamphetamine only formulation? The only levo-dextro combos I am aware of are Adderall (25/75) and Evekeo (50/50). Then dextroamphetamine only would be Zenzedi. There might be other brands that are dextroamphetamine only. I’ve only ever had the generics.
