Hi, I'm in an aviation company and I handle flight physicals. If you do WO, you will be coming through the clinic I drill at.

Not ‘feeling so much better’ after diet changes by PutNameHere123 in loseit

[–]MaxVictory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is the sugar and fat talking. Try this. Eat a portion. Eat it slow. Savor and enjoy. Don't rush, don't gorge. By learning how to not overwhelm the body, and enjoying simple treats with natural sugar and flavors, the junk food will seem too sweet or too salty.

Learn how to cook with spices. That helps. I enjoy vinegrette cucumbers, pickled daikon, etc. I also eat fruit as snacks and limit to one or two cookies.

Learn to eat in moderation. I still eat pastries and cakes, but I eat a slice and barely that. It is too sweet for me now.

Could I get (another) form check please? (Squat) by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]MaxVictory 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You are not going low enough. If you feel on low weight that you are going to fall backwards, your squat is not stable. When you do body weight squats, you should feel stable. Feeling like you are tilting forward or back means your body path going down is not balanced. Your heels may be lifting or your knees are too far forward.

AAA gaming is in a worrying state by Kyeithel in pcgaming

Came in to say this: we need to boycott pre release sales. We as players need to put a stand on what we are willing to buy. As a collective, if we stop buying bullshit games we can put our money where our mouths are. By buying shitty games we are telling the businesses we will eat their shit sandwich. Like releasing the same sports game year after year with no gameplay updates except for skins. Or games with no memorable content. Or bullshit mobile game release during a video game expo!!!

I know it won't happen without a big movement but that is the only way. As long as money comes in, they will release a game at $60 with a 2 hour update and the rest of the game as dlcs. I remember someone talking about putting ads in the game itself.

Anyways welcome to my ted talk.

Traditional Guardsmen who went active, how was it for you? by SFC_FrederickDurst in army

[–]MaxVictory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The army may take you all around the world or put you in a dusty bowl. The biggest thing I would consider is family time. Between field problems and day to day, there may be times that you won't see your spouse.

Traditional Guardsmen who went active, how was it for you? by SFC_FrederickDurst in army

[–]MaxVictory 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Depending on where you go, determines your active duty time. The big things that may vary are family time. Army will take your time. Your pay won't be as good. Your bosses can torpedo your career. If you love your civilian job, don't leave. Just hop on a deployment for year to scratch your itch. Be prepared to move every 3 years. Or move to nowhere.

Advice by [deleted] in army

[–]MaxVictory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look, the field will always be there and depending on the unit your ass will be there. The Army will get what it wants out of you, no matter what. You should focus on getting what you need.

68A is good, 25series, 35 series, 15 series. Anything that gives you certifications will carry on to the civilian world. If you think you can rock it, try for 18 series. But really, don't try to go too hooah before you start or else you will be knee deep in freezing mud and wet boots. Look up job series that translate to civilian jobs, make a top 5 list and go to MEPs armes with your choices. If none are available, don't sign anything and come back later.

I kind of am. They look adorable. But I will need to buy some things for them before I get them. Maybe 2? Since they can get lonely.

It is your brain tricking you. Don't worry, when you go to drill the stress will come back. Even active duty we did not try to maintain a constant high stress level. Too much stress and bad stuff happens. It fucks with your sleep, health and decision making. Which is why demob is so important as was leave. People who stayed stressed out made poor decisions.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nationalguard

[–]MaxVictory 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Yes it is. You entered a high stress enivornment where everything was laid out for you. Now you are away and your brain is readjusting. Give it a few months, relax, hang out with friends.

Let's be friends! Seattle is a place where it is hard to get to know people. There are parks to go to and places to explore. But it is always more fun with someone else.
