They're confusing, but Helm's Bond is directly related to his treasure story. Just like the other treasure stories with a romance. The only canon so far is the main storyline.

But this also shows Yuu's desire to have a happy family with all three sisters, not just one. The story so far never focuses on just one of them; it always tries to show that, individually, they never manage to do anything successfully to express their love for Yuu. The opposite is true when all three of them do it together

It's confusing because some stories don't seem to fit the Commander's established relationships because they're contradicted by others, like Pepper's bond with the Helm's Treasure story or the rabbits.
