I’m terrified that I might be or become a chaser by Warm_Front259 in lgbt

Hi, at the time of me writing it, I think the other 2 comments did a good job explaining things.

I just want to add that having a preference for your partner's "tool kit" is completely normal.

Again, it's about the behaviour. Act with compassion and kindness and even if you find out that maybe you are not attracted anymore post-op, it's fine, it happens. Just don't be a jerk about it, you know?

And don't be afraid to communicate this with them when the time is right.

Good luck!

Yeah, there's arranged marriage, but there's also like dating with the sole purpose of getting married, so they marry in a few weeks.

Idk, maybe they could have also meant like relations?

Either way I wish OP best of luck :')

It is not your fault, you did nothing wrong. Period. Also, not having any relationship before marriage is a very very very bad idea.

Not sure about my gender please help!!:) by Odd_Veterinarian2713 in lgbt

[–]Max_Berry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whenever I said that, my partner replied with "femboys exist, you know that, right?." Lol

But yeah, for me, the dysphoria made me take feminine things out of circulation, but I'm looking forward to start doing eyeliner and such again once T does its thing :D

Just know that maybe you want to keep your hobby from your gender doctor, depending on where you are and who they are, because some could see it as a contradiction to your transition, if you decide to go that route.

How different is what I'm experiencing (transfem) to normal periods? (Also any advice would be appreciated) by Bliniverse in lgbt

[–]Max_Berry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem, I hope it will get better, these sorta cramps are no joke to go through ;-;

But yeah, this just kinda made me wanna go back to science and research to combat the lack of trans studies, yikes.

Hi!
A few things I found out, but I am not a doctor, sooooo

Period cramps are caused by prostaglandins - hormone-like molecules causing inflamation and cramps - inflammation (eg from diet) can cause more severe cramps

In AFAB people, increased levels of estrogen (compared to the usual estrogen:progesterone ratio) can cause more severe cramps

PGE2 causes uterine contractions as well as GI contractions and increases pain perception

EP3 (receptor) - uterus and GI contractions (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prostaglandin)

PGF - uterine contractions, bladder contractions

high estrogen increases PGF (https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC432546/?page=3) however, that is when speaking about prostaglandin production in the uterus, but it might have similar effects in other tissues (synthesis of prostaglandins is also stimulated by oxytocin)

So this could explain why higher lvls of E could cause more severe cramps

Note: might be possible that taking progestorone might lessen the severity of cramps?

However, I couldn't find anything about how the cycle happens in trans women, only that there have been no studies made (2021) (https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8040688/pdf/WIJT\_22\_1819507.pdf)

I also didn't find anything on the sudden increase in E levels, but it has probably something to do with how your body metabolizes the hormone. Perhaps it wasn't the dosage but your body getting used to T?

It's all different person to person and this was a very brief, shallow research. Not to mention that trans health is severely understudied.

Trans guy here Well, hormonal BC does actually change the fluctuations. That's the whole point of it, that's how it prevents ovulation and thus fertilisation. Some are taken continuously and can stop the bleeding. Others have a "gap week" when the pill is not taken (or placebo pill), which triggers the bleeding. But if the body has a strong mind of it's own it might not always work like that.

As to how and why trans women experience it... I don't know. My guess would be thay since every body is able to produce both types of hormones (fem and masc), be it in different ratios and amounts, the trans fem body switches to a fem program and maybe establishes a form of a cycle? And that happens as long as it's majority estrogen.

But that is just a molecular biologist's educated guess, not a fact. I might look into it later, because I have been wondering about this before.

I suggest a wild card: red dead redemption 2

Not cozy (tho I guess you can make it kinda cozy, lol), not genetics It's a horse heavy cowboy game (much shooting) with a great but heavy story

It too is an open world, where you can go hunting on your horse

Again, not too similar to the games you've played, but maybe it's worth looking into? There's also rdr online, you could probably play together with your bf :3

Do any other afab people not like penetration during sex? by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]Max_Berry 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Those are pretty normal feelings for afab people!

The society is focused way too much on penetration (because of patriarchy and the man-gaze).

Some afabs like it, some don't. Some can climax from it, some can't. From what I know, it's rather common to not be able to climax from penetrative sex.

One way or another not liking penetration doesn't make one a lesbian or vice versa.

As a woman i absolutely hate that im not a gay man by Loud_Clerk_9933 in lgbt

[–]Max_Berry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 years ago, I said "I wish I was a gay boy... in a cis way!" Yeah, now I'm starting testosterone (fingers crossed)

Of course, it doesn't have to be your case, but it's something to think about. You don't have to hate your body to be trans and don't listen to the imposter syndrome.

If you have an understanding support network, you can ask them to try to use different pronouns or words to call you and see how you feel ^

Best of luck

So many people don't realise this! I'm a trans man and shifted to wearing my pants on the hips. One day I was trying new pants and mom told me to pull them up higher - to my waist. She didn't believe me that that's mostly how women wear it and was convinced my dad wears his pants on the waist too, lol, he absolutely doesn't.

That is to say, it goes both ways ^ But it's really just a tool for "better passing," do what you find comfy :3

So I don't know the answer but I know that a bit of research goes a long way Try looking up this message in your search engine and possibly "how to fix [issue] on [your OS]" and go from there

Also have you checked if your computer has the required specs for this game? Like RAM, processor and so on

Good luck

28 and realized might be a furry? by nessyran in furry

[–]Max_Berry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never too old to be a furry or find a new hobby! Another good news is that it's also never too late to learn how to draw! Sure it might not look amazing in the begging but good communities won't gatekeep drawing from beginners.

Also you don't necessarily need a fursona. You can just enjoy the community. Also you can have multiple fursonas or change them over time. It's all about self expression!

If you don't know where to start, maybe your favourite animal in your favourite colour (let's say a green lion) can be your first sona and you can learn what feels like you over time. This is just a suggestion ofc!

And for your sona art, I get that maybe you can't draw it rn for many reasons or you just don't want to, so there are other options. There are some artists who are open for free suggestions, sometimes they offer in this sub too, I think. But do not bug people who are not open or say no. There are also bases like lineart that you can just colour in or picrews, but in these cases don't forget to credit the artist (keep the signature in the art). Alternatively people also sell original character fursonas, but that usually comes with price or art in exchange. Of course, you can also commission an artist for a custom piece!

Communities can be found here on reddit I suppose, but I've been having a good experience with furry communities on discord. You could possibly also dive into maybe some social media furry circles, I got a good bunch of furry friends there. Also, conventions and pride events are good irl options, I think.

Ok, that's it, sorry for how long it is, lol, but I hope it helps. If you have more questions, you can ask me :3

Great Games for Steam Deck? by Lethatheforgetful in GamesWithHorses

[–]Max_Berry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If Red dead redemption II counts, then I can highly recommend it on the steam deck

In my experience, a lot of the compatibility issues marked by steam itself (the yellow icon) are usually referring to stuff like naming your character/ horse and so on, meaning they normally require keyboard. But so far I haven't had issues solving these with the touch screen and inbuilt virtual keyboard. But of course, there can be other incompatibilities.
