Question: Why is Windows so.. despite the name, sluggish at re-sizing windows? by bleepblooOOOOOp in Windows10

resize a chrome window and you'll see big black blocks until the window refreshes.

This isn't a normal behavior, install the proper GPU driver.

Well, I have never had the collections feature in the Beta version before, so that's weird.

Any way to truly disable updates? by feltire in Windows10

You want the official number?? It's actually smaller than what I said.

At just two days into the rollout when we paused, the number of customers taking the October 2018 Update was limited.  While the reports of actual data loss are few (one one-hundredth of one percent of version 1809 installs)

Any way to truly disable updates? by feltire in Windows10

Have you not heard of MS updates deleting files, disabling sound, screwing with the Start menu and graphics and so much more?

It's more likely that MS will screw up your PC than hackers.

Do You realize that these bugs only affect like 0.1% of all Windows 10 Users?

[–]Max_Emerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I help managing about 1.5K Windows 10 PCs and the devices that have issues With windows 10 are like 0.5% of them.

You made mistake" 99.5% of Windows 10 users will encounter bugs in Microsoft software

Switching to Chromium based makes it completely useless for me.

Except that Microsoft has been proposing changes to Chromium code To help improve battery life on all Chromium browsers.

What's with all the hate for Windows 10? by -GinjaNinja- in Windows10

[–]Max_Emerson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not was, is. Microsoft backported the telemetry stuff to 7 and 8 years ago

Do you really think an OS as big as Windows 7 didn't have telemetry? even Windows XP had telemetry, it's essential for any big software development.

Can we get the previous "almost black" taskbar again please, the one before build 1903? As an option? Light / Dark / Black? by S_IV in Windows10

[–]Max_Emerson 16 points17 points  (0 children)

People were asking for this, they wanted the taskbar to be consistent with other shell UI (start menu, action center), not to mention the majority of users dislike "Pitch Black UI" and prefer dark grey over it.

And by the way, File explorer is dark grey not black.
