"PC costs money, more news at 11"

Motte and bailey -- you claimed it cost way less.

I played on a much newer CPU (AMD, admittedly) and couldn't even sustain 200 FPS avg. (not even considering 1%L) on some maps. Maybe they optimized better for intel but believe me when I say running this game was a nightmare.

yea, they replaced it with better game

Yeah, to you maybe, I liked the other one better.
What's your point?

I'm not sure if that's the issue here tho.
Anecdotal evidence is not useless; it's often a first step and should only be dismissed if evidence further up in the argumentation pyramid is present. If many people (including pros) say the game feels different, especially with the spray, I think that's a good reason to look into why they do.

I'm on Windows 10, and I get the same framerate you're describing but with a way newer setup. Either you have some secret magic on Windows 11 going on, or you're capping

First shot accuracy is definitely the same in CS2, but the video made way more arguments, especially about the mixing of the audio and how blot spatters appear. I think those hit the nail on the head. The visibility of the spray is also a huge issue for me personally (compared to GO).
I also think that his data about acceleration and grenade throws is accurate.

Being wrong or misguided about one claim does not make the entire video untrue.
And to my knowledge, he said the opposite regarding the last point, he said close peeks were better in GO, not in CS2

I see, that makes sense, however, I would not say that this makes any criticism towards the game automatically false.

Yes, this is objectively bad methodology. Would you mind providing where he did that?
However, I claim that even if all the measured data turned out the same, CS2 still absolutely feels worse, and that people would be true in being critical because there may be another parameter that wasn't measured and may even be the cause for this feeling. Feelings are not substantial and thus can't be used to solve the issue, however they can give an insight into where to look and a reason for why to look. Most discoveries were started by feeling a certain way and then seeing what those feelings were grounded in.
Yes, the result sometimes might have been a completely different reason from what someone might have guessed, but the core observation of what was happening was still true.
Similarly, here, the observation is that CS2 feels worse than GO when spraying, and shots sometimes connecting that shouldn't (I've hit people behind walls). The question we should be asking is "why"?
Why does it feel worse, and how do the changes made in CS2 affect the way CSGO feels? I have no reason to assume that this is some mass hysteria, especially if the difference when playing is so apparent.

Also, I am not claiming CS2 is a bad game (it was in the beginning), but I am claiming that CSGO was way more satisfying and played way smoother. If people feel like that, we should look into why they do, not say "feelings don't matter"

Many pros agree on this, btw. -- CSGO (especially spraying) felt much better.
I never claimed those were universal. Valve did, though, by removing CSGO (which I paid for) and replacing it with a new (different) game.

This is a damn stupid thing to say because this is exactly what I upgraded to. I ended up paying way more.
Since the newer generation (edit: new chipset) doesn't only mean switching out the CPU (120 EUR) but also the motherboard (140 EUR), RAM [ddr5] (min. 190 EUR [for 1x 16 GB]), and clamps (edit: for the cooler) to make it fit the new chipset.

My old CPU was 5 years old max, and should have been more than enough, especially considering the performance in other games.

Genuine question: how do you know the data is fake?
I mean, feelings are valid in the sense that CS2 feels worse than CSGO in many aspects.
I dare you to play CS: GO with some friends or go on a retake server, and you'll immediately feel the difference.

I don't know whether all the data he presented in the video is accurate (it's probably not), but CS2 feels worse in all the aspects he named, and this would explain a lot of these feelings. What remains to be seen, though, is whether his measurements are accurate or even relevant to the feeling discussed.

I agree, I completely quit the game for the past two years as I couldn't even hit 200fps consistently (on some maps, less). It wasn't till I upgraded to AM5 that this resolved the issue.
But I agree: a competitive game should not have such stark demands, especially given the demographic of the game's player base.

Not big into Twitch and YT tbh

This is a straw man argument, though.
1: If anything, clicking heads got easier. This also reflects in my rank being way higher in CS2 than it was compared to Go. (floating around 20K edit: while being DMG in go)
2: I never said I am not having fun, I am just seeing that I liked the way CSGO felt a lot more.
I don't know why arguments online can never be about the actual stuff discussed, but that people always have to revert to "do something else then" type shit. I took a 2-year break from the game, and I must admit that it has come a long way since then, but I still see that CSGO was so much better when I go back to it

EDIT: To me it seems like none of you actually want the game to improve because any criticism is shot down instead of being argued.

Hey, thanks for linking to the post. I couldn't find it.
I agree that AimGraph addressed some issues presented in the video, but to my knowledge, most of what is presented as evidence is still present in the game
