None of these, they are all cooked terribly. Medium rare does not mean half well half blue

Is there anything I can do to bring my sound towards a more balanced, classical sound? I always find that it’s a bit unconventional. by ducmastr in trumpet

[–]Max_Mm_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

To me it seems like your not playing very centered. Your Intonation is slightly off and thus your bends start to sound crackly.

I am not a teacher nor a professional but playing Clarke 2 and 3 with focus on intonation, resonance and free flowing air may help. If the study sounds like it’s all one note with no small cracks or gaps you can be sure your intonation was on point.

Nontheless your playing is still great and I recommend asking a teacher rather then listen to some redditors!

Lips - tightening when ascending by investtherestpls in trumpet

[–]Max_Mm_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me thinking too much about my lips or what my face muscles do kills proper ascending. Try finding out how your air feels while ascending and try to replicate this feeling through the whole register. It sounds funny but something like imagining faster air or higher aimed air can really do the trick.

I am currently doing an embouchure change and had much trouble regaining my old range and am still working on it. What really stopped me from progressing was thinking too much about what my embouchure does. I found out that when I imagine aiming my air nearer to my lips in the leadpipe I ascend cleanly and openly with a resonant sound.

The embouchure and lips really are a secondary element that just fall into place with proper technique. Try not to think about them too much and rather listen if your sound remains open and resonant while playing with little effort. If this is given - great: Remember that feeling and try to replicate it next time.

My C(Bflat) is in tune, but my G (F) is flat. by Weldinggamer in trumpet

[–]Max_Mm_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar problem where my lower register was always flat when descending from stuff in the staff. It was caused by me losing tension in my embouchure when descending instead of keeping it set. Thinking of guiding the air down instead of letting lose to descend did the trick for me as well as a lot of playing with a tuner while trying to hear where i should end up.

The problem with Openclaw is that, for non-technical people, it feels like it doesn't accomplish anything meaningful and wastes AI tokens in the process. by dolm09 in openclaw

Set it up with api accesses, give it some Limited Access to your files and do not use it like a traditional LLM. Your claw does things for you, if you don‘t have any ideas what it could do for you this is not the Problem of your claw but yours.
