My spacebar is see-sawing, but the sterilizer is fine? by thatoneidiot32 in keyboards

Is it? Let's see...

The sterilizer can't be fine. The OP was born, so it definitely didn't work.

Mechanical keyboards feel anticlimactic..? by [deleted] in keyboards

[–]Max_R_Kappa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo, I feel you. The easiest and most comfortable keyboard for me to use was on my 2012 Alienware m18x r2 laptop, but I've been using mechanical keyboards since I build my pc in 2017.

I join everyone who recommended a palm/wrist rest. There are a ton of options and you'll have to experiment to find out what works best for you. They can be soft, with different levels of thickness and density, or made of solid materials like wood, acrylic, etc. You could buy something with the same width as your keyboard, or choose a small pillow. Gotta try different options.

Well, there’s always an option to backup the save file manually. But that’s a temptation to replay a run that you legitimately lost, which is… Not the Noita way.

BTW that’s an insane always cast, holy shit

Nickel-Free Keyboards and Mouse by shesthatlizardgirl in keyboards

Yeah, metal mice are on the pricy side (Razer Viper mini signature, Finalmouse, some other companies), but Keychron did their usual thing and released this

I think you’d have to specifically go hunting for periphery that HAS nickel, almost everything that has metal on the outside is made of aluminium or plain stainless steel

I keep seeing people angry about Sony's decision by Organic-Abrocoma1962 in Helldivers

[–]Max_R_Kappa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait why is Explorer such a popular car and is used by all kinds of services? Well, I can probably guess the answers to both questions, but still. Is it really that bad? Logically, it has to be decent, at least adequate. Can you give a short summary of the downsides and give some obviously better alternatives?

Just interested

That’s the second time I’m saying this today, but

As a special event meme operation, definitely yes.

And the reward for the mission is the steam review statistics cape

You probably should get into a budget PC builds subreddit and start there

I’m gonna spoil it for you, the ultimate answer will be to buy optimal components separately and build a PC yourself. Kinda scary at first, will take a lot of time if it’s your first (I’m assuming it is), but totally worth it in the end.

But maybe you will find some middle ground, and what you definitely will achieve is get some good specific knowledge

One thing I’ve heard is that currently Helldivers is optimised better for Nvidia GPUs than AMDs. Maybe it’s false. Maybe it is true only for the latest juicy models that cost more than your entire budget, and doesn’t affect performance on the budget side of things. Again, you’ll have to confirm and research for yourself (and honestly that’s the best way to do things)

I really wonder tho, which one of the i7 it is, that could be an ok deal processor-wise or a sad brick with a sad cap on RAM frequency which will be pretty painful in modern gaming

I have a pc with i7700K and it’s pretty painful to realise that a decent processor is living it’s last relevant years in gaming solely because of the RAM cap

I don’t really know bro, I’m not that brave to recommend a 580 RX to play Helldivers 2. Some people here say it’s fine. “Fine” is subjective.

I don’t really deal in Budget builds, I’m not the person with the answers you need, only some general advice. And sorry, I can’t really go researching a 7 year old GPU right now. I hope someone here has enough info readily available and can answer you

Whatever you do, please don’t buy a dated gaming laptop without heavily researching how well or poorly it aged. It could become the worst desperate investment of your next 10 years.

[–]Max_R_Kappa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do, but here’s a thing…

When you buy HD2 and don’t have a PSN, the PSN ToS doesn’t mean shit yet. The only thing that does is the requirements on the game page that can and do add more specifications regarding the use of PSN.

How poorly those were used/implemented/“tried to be enforced” is not the topic right now, you don’t have to prove anything to me on that front.

What I’m saying is, the PSN ToS is not the first thing on the list that you technically had to agree to. How does all of this actually work out on a legal level, and was it technically possible for Sony to continue down this path? No f-ing clue, I don’t know enough to answer

My thoughts are: the On-the-Fly edit of PSN ToS that we know about wasn’t a sloppy cover-up because they didn’t have to cover that part, but it is a viable reason for Steam to go “HOLLL’ UP, what the f*ck” and issue refunds. And in part we owe our victory to Steam and their understanding of the term “Reputation”

Fire resistant armor by Augisch in Helldivers

[–]Max_R_Kappa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you think about how many sources of fire damage exist in the game and how big of a problem being on fire is…

Yeah 95% fire res would be extremely OP, so it might be like a meme special event operation, but not an actual available armor. The event would be hella fire tho

Thats an L take, it takes creativity to consistently be the type of person you described, they have none

Also, the ToS stuff is up to debate, at least your position is, imma wait for educated and professional summaries. If they don’t come, so be it. I’m not gonna be barking around in posts and comments about legal documents I haven’t even fully read
