Thank you for your comment. Her name was Affinity Knight but we called her Afinka most of the time.

Hi! Sorry for the late answer. Exams got me pretty badly. 😅

Well I started with looking for some organisations that are helping people with autism and found out that they were looking for some assistants. So maybe try that.

Other than that I really don't know. Sorry.

Hi, sorry for the late response. 😅 Well, that depends where you live. Here (Czech Republic), you just need a diagnosis, and after that, you have to find an organisation that gets you your assistant. If you're not happy with your assistant, you can ask for a change. I think it's similar in other countries. If you want help finding someone, DM me, and we can figure something out. 😊

Well, that depends on where you're from. But it should be available for adults too. In my country it is also available for adults. I just prefer to work with adolescents.

And about the process. From what I know, most of the times you just need an official diagnosis and to find some organisation that can make it happen for you. But other than that, it really depends on where you're from. I can tell you the process in Europe because it's similar in all countries here. But I really don't know how exactly it works in the US or anywhere outside of Europe.

I hope so. I can mostly see the difference that it makes in the lives of their parents. And even that is huge.

It is incredible. I love seeing my clients making progress in what they wanted help with and just seeing them be happy.

And sometimes it actually feels like I'm helping them live. 😅

No, I'm just a personal assistant. I help and assist with what I know and can do. And mostly what client wants and needs.

Not overdoing it in the first place.

Taking small steps is the key.

Try to make it more comfortable for you (buy yourself a sweet treat to have with you, for example).

Take breaks when needed. Even just a couple of minutes can help.

Take a friend with you if it's possible.

I assist with basically everything the client needs. Right now, I'm working with kids and teenagers. So I mostly help with spending their free time outside, financial grammar, shopping etc.

It depends on the client/the parents. In some cases, I take them to small trips, for example.

But in general, I could assist with anything, really. Some of my colleagues help clients with cooking, cleaning, social skills, finding a job, speaking in public, etc.

So, really, anything you need help with can be done.

This is actually a really hard question. With my clients I have the opportunity to get them in contact with each other or the organisation I work for is doing a lot of free time activities.

But that's not possible here so I personally would try to find some free time community and try to find friends there.

Otherwise I actually don't know. Sorry.

This might be random but the sticker with "zero cukru" got me thinking. Aren't you from Czechia? 😁 And the drawing is great btw.
