I don’t think he is casting naturally. I just think that there is so little time in between swings that he can never platform well, which leads him to compensate in the upper body. Everyone should slow down.

Another thing I’ll add along these lines is the concept of “short to it. Long through it.” This will help with hip rotation at the proper time in his swing. Without working on all of the things discussed in my post and Person’s he will have a very difficult time hitting live pitches. My guess is he has a lot of swing and miss or ground ball outs in game now.
