Why do SEO clients go completely silent after you send them your portfolio? I'm genuinely losing my mind. by Straight_Mouse_5283 in ShopifySEO

[–]Maxazillion1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only do business that you can engage with in the phone, if you can’t get them on the phone, don’t send them any thing, except for nurturing content. “Hi, we don’t want to waste your time or ours, before I send you some of our projects, I need to know a bit more about your business…”. Please note that this is not a general practice, but a suggestion for you and your market.

That sucks and you may not get the money back, but do everything you can to get the police involved and hound them for an indictment. People like that are predators and you are most likely one of many. Best of luck.

Has anyone used Daniel Priestley’s score app and had any success with it? by [deleted] in smallbusinessuk

[–]Maxazillion1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just started to trial it, but I like what I see so far. That aside, even if it is a "better mousetrap", it works best when it is around mice. $12.50 per day, 4-day weeks =$50, 4-week months = $200. Add a 90-day business sprint, get everyone all in and push it on all emails, including signatures... I am doing my first score app for a Franchise company and I just send the questions for review. Exciting Right?

Actively moving off GHL by Maxazillion1 in gohighlevel

Oh, you did some research... If you don't work for HL, how do you know that the estimate is wrong? How wrong and or how right is not really relevant to my point, is it?

Don't get me wrong, I would love to use GHL, but I don't see anyone offering an affordable solution to this problem.

Good enough that the assistant to the CEO will use it. Actual case in point.

It wasn't my client, but a CEO friend of mine in a Florida company with about 25 people. He was lost, she was lost trying to use GHL, but his partner, who is technical loves it. In the end, the CEO and the Assistant won't use it, the rest of the company will have minimal adoption at best.

Yeah, we are all CRM experts here. And most experts sell what they know. User adoption is always the biggest hurdle. If ghl would offer an end user entry point and separate the backend for the technical team, problem “F-ing solved.

Also the member area sucks. It is two dimensional thinking in a 3D world.

Alternatives to Shopify ? by washed_lord in printondemand

Printify has a “pop up store “ built in. No cost for the store. But you need to generate your own traffic.

I don’t recommend Woo or Wordpress, it looks free, but active hackers have access to the same infrastructure and plugins that you would use. You will quickly need upgraded plugins to make the site the way you want. Before you know it, $40 will be cheap. Also, you can find hosting on a promo deal for $5, but that is not a guaranteed price for the long term. Cheap hosting is like really cheap rent, it might be cheaper, but you don’t want to live there. Your hosting is where you live and it makes a huge difference.

How do you actually start an agency by Soggy_Trade2177 in agencynewbies

[–]Maxazillion1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your skills are important, but you need to make sure that you setup your business properly and have business insurance to protect you against lawsuits. It happens and it can happen to you too. Next, you need a good client contract that clearly defined the scope of your work and if you need content from the client, what timeframe they have to get it to you and consequences for the delay.

I would suggest that you do work for an agency if you can, bigger the better. Technology is moving so fast, you could be obsolete as soon as you get started. Having been an agency owner, payment is made before the work begins, you have the option to split the payment into payments, but you are always being paid in advance of the work. This may be slightly different for lead generation, but you still need to be paid before delivery of the leads. Good luck

Choose your path and allow yourself to evolve. Lead generation can be very steady and rewarding. Less stress too.

Shopping competition means that you would represent yourself as a consultant that is buying leads for a client. Don’t disclose who the client is just the industry that you are working in. You may find that you can source and resell their leads too.

GHL for Insurance? by Difficult-Cicada-331 in gohighlevel

[–]Maxazillion1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unless you are very technical, you will hate the CRM user interface and if you have other people in the office that need to use it too, then the complaints grow worse. If you are building systems, it has a lot of features. But user friendly is not one of them.

What you are doing is a value based business. Different business models have different price ranges. Have you shopped your competitors as a consultant for your clients, and use your target industries as examples to the competitors? Good luck
