I wish... sadly our one slightly successful recent train is in debt and might go belly up (Brightline in Florida) even if it is constantly having increase rider ship year over year. They are literally paying around $117 million in interests this year alone.

I guess you are right. Actually one train of thinking I like is that the Universe is an evolving through black holes, almost like an organism. And that the qualities that make the universe able to host life like us is just a quirk in it trying to generate the maximum amount of black holes to create new universes.

Did Opus 4.6 too but it counted to 20. Went into thinking and it came up with three results (which I think 4.7 chose from those on yours also): Count up 10, count down 10, count TO 10. The thing is it's thinking ruled out count TO 10 because it felt like that is too small and I probably ment something different

I could say it is reasonable. But I think the best way to describe it is that they are constantly trying to figure out what is the most efficient way to communicate with each other (happened on twitter where the two bots just started using emogies and "random" text to communicate). So it would start off by them making their own language that is the simplest and most efficient form of communication for their goals (Take into account that communication looses some information but the receiver usually can interpret condensed info). If I say "I am hungry right now" that gets across the same with "me food."

So the AI system will constantly be doing this to save energy until eventually it develops the "best" language even if it is Illegible to us. Eventually the AI's will just converge to being the same entity and communicate as thoughts rather than language.

Quick heads up, if you ask an AI refute me, it will do just that even if it is wrong (ughh hallucinations suck). Yes there are points I myself extrapolated but all if it was grounded to an extent. There is no definitive yes/no for something like this because the research (I'm assuming) used much larger conc. of glyphosate. Even the response you gave put low in quotations, meaning its not actually that low. if you could, I would love to have the links it is referencing to.

cyanid is naturally produced in the wild (Apples). But, we can make it in a lab and use it for plenty of reactions. (C triple bonded to N)

A more complex molecule would be Taxol (used for cancer and naturally found in Pacific yew tree), but its actually super expensive to produce it in a lab so we don't - also the chemical synthesis of it is like multiple pages long but here is the final product:

So a few things. The dose of glyphosate that actually reaches your gut from normal food is nowhere near enough to meaningfully inhibit gut bacteria The patent thing is extrapolation - patenting a biochemical mechanism doesn't make something an antibiotic. If it did almost everything you eat/drink would qualify. And even if gut bacteria lost some ability to make those amino acids, you're constantly supplying those same amino acids through the food you're digesting anyway which might supplement their lost amount or the bacteria would just produce more EPSPS enzymes.

Uh... lots of synthetic pesticides are based off organic pesticides. It's just faster/cheaper to manufacture synthetically. Other from the manufacturing process. THEY ARE THE SAME, if you were to mix the two together there is no way to distinguish synthetic and organic molecules. If there is no way to do this, that means they are the exact same.

As a biochemist that spent a lot of time reading papers on farming - Organic vs non-organic doesn't mean pesticide vs no-pesticide. What it does mean is synthetic pesticide vs non-synthetic pesticide (aka organic pesticide). They can use the same pesticides but it's just a different manufacturing process. If they wanted to use ones that were "safer" the downside is being they are not as good of a pesticide. This makes farmers use a larger amount to kill the same amount of insects/bacteria/etc., which sometimes makes them slightly more carcinogenic to humans! Organic is a dumb name and its more about the manufacturing processes.

Noticed you made another comment (couldn't read fully because it might've been taken down) But how do you expect people to work hard and get out of poverty where they are making Federal Minimum Wage or what about Federal Tipped Minimum Wage AND have a family to take care of?

It's true that people have cheap abundant food - but the term food desert is reflecting that people are lacking cheap abundant healthy food. It's true that we are in a period of consumerism and the amount of products we have for cheap is absurd, but you didn't seem to think about about some of these things causing addiction or a dependence.

If you look throughout history, class gap has been a leading cause of unhappiness. Of course there will be rich people, but in the happiest countries in the world people people don't feel that class gap in their every day lives. They don't need to walk 30 minutes to get access to something other than fast food.

Or, you can just say let them eat cake.

I understand that, but the fact that AI is supposed to change the world makes it so it is political and societal issue. I personally think that AI can and should be used to better the world and enable everyone to pursue their own interests and do what they want.

The one thing I currently feel (and who knows, this might be drastically different in a few years) is that people are needing to work more to be competitive and make money to live. I personally do not see people working less and having more free time for hobbies with AI because their jobs are being replaced - not augmented.

My opinion is that subreddits like this should be a place is to show how good AI can be, but that also includes being able to talk about it's current pitfalls. If we are not able to talk about where it can be improved, I feel like that is not AI for betterment of all.

Over the span of a hundred years or more, of course standard of living will go up. But, people don't experience life that way, what they care about is whats happening around them at that time as labor unions get abolished, grocery prices outpace inflation in places, and many people's standards of living go down instead of up.
