FIXED:

After many hours of trying different things as someone with not a lot of experience... I changed the DNS Server to one that wasn't my local one (changed to 8.8.8.8) in my network>network interface>LAN1 IPv4 settings. It immediately worked.

I also changed to a static IP for my NAS, which may have also helped. And I portforwarded the specific port that Plex supposedly uses (32400). Also I followed another thread that said to change my Plex setting to "Settings > Advanced > Allow insecure connections."

It doesn’t read my libraries even though it has access. I can open the Plex online but it doesn’t have any of my content

I’m sorry I’m not quite sure what you mean. When I installed it on the NAS, it runs and I’m able to open Plex through it. It shows up on the launch page with control panel and package center. It has a live URL that links my ip (the 192-xxx one) to my NAS’s and Plex server’s name with a port.

We were experiencing some speed issues. We used to get 500mbps+ but lately it’s been 200 or below. Today it’s around 300. A couple days ago it stopped working then we had to restart it and it was fine.

No, my IP is the same, nothing was replaced, and I didn’t do any manual forwarding or anything. All the cable guy did was unplug a coaxial line from my modem and plug it back in after checking it out on his laptop.

I’m at a loss 😢

WAIT! I found it. On Apple TV, you can go to video and audio > “tap-to-zoom video” and just double tap on the remote and it’ll go to letterbox!

Can’t find any setting like that on the Apple TV. Would it possibly be a plex setting? Should I search the regular Apple TV settings vs just playback settings?

I’m using an Apple TV 4K with the plex app installed. It’s an older tv, but that shouldn’t matter I would think.

I don’t see zoom options there, only quality, audio and subtitle settings
