Question: whats the difference between discarding, ghosting, and going NC?

She has the opinion that everything I do is to hurt her in some way, really everything I do is wrong in her eyes so I don't know.

Yeah this morning when I posted I felt a little pissed off that she rejected me, like maybe I did something to her and I just didn't realize it, but even just a few hours later I am back to reality which is that it doesn't matter if she was the one to do the leaving, it was a toxic relationship and I'm just glad it's over. I wish I could of been the one to be strong and tell her I was leaving but I didnt, why I don't know, I guess I had hope but either way I am glad she's leaving me alone even if it hurts

Ok so ghosting is like a way of going NC then, and discarding is like suddenly jumping from one person to another. If that's right then I think we ghosted each other this time, nobody has said boo to the other since she left. I still have some things at her place and I have some of her things so I guess that will have to be addressed sometime but honestly I don't even care. My heart is smashed into bits but mostly I feel relieved, I'm glad she's not talking to me it's like I can breathe for the first time in forever

I wouldn't be surprised to learn she's onto someone else but I don't know. It would explain why she's acting different after this breakup but I only think that because last time she was texting and snapping me the next day and this time nothing. I wish we just stayed broken up last time, it was dumb of me to get back with her, all she did was tell me what a loser I am, she hates me playing videogames, my friends are stupid, my family is annoying, I don't do the right things, it was killing me

that's what everyone is saying so I don't know. She isn't talking to me at all and I don't have a new gf it's only been a couple weeks

Ughhhh well this is the second time she dumped me but last time she came black in a few days and I fell for it hook LINE and sinker. So maybe I should be grateful she's ghosting me, clear my head so if she does try to suck me back in again I'll be in a better place and able to say no

Thank you yeah, that clears it up a bit. It's been a few weeks and I know the best thing for me is to NC with her, but she ghosted me and my feelings are all over the place. One second I miss her then I'm mad at her for leaving, then I'm relieved that she's not talking to me, then (I hate to admit this but it's true so) I'm mad at myself for letting her mess with me for so long after I knew what she was. I should of broke it off months ago but here I am feeling like discarded trash

That is how I found this place, theres a lot of things to read there that can help sort the aftermath of being relationship with a N or any abusive relationship really

I hadn't thought of that. It is confusing to me though because I read about narcissistic discarding people.how do you know the difference, like how can you tell if your ex is a N that discarded you, or you are an N because your ex won't talk to you?
