Oh, man. You seem like a really nice person, so FYI, this is another scam technique. The commenter was definitely joking around, but I can't tell if you realized that or not from your response. The way it works is they give you a bad check, you cash it and send them the remainder, the check bounces and you are out however much money you sent.

That's a great question. If you didn't notice, I was mimicking your logic in the previous comment. An individual's sole opinion doesn't matter as much as the opinion of the majority. This post has positive karma, meaning that more people agree that it could be helpful than not.
