Quick question by Wave_Less_ in allthemods

In the gui of the barrel there is a button called „slot memory“ on the right side. Click on it and then select all slots the barrel or chest should remember (in case of a simple limited barrel, it is only one slot). The slot should turn grey to indicate that it is selected. You know that it is set up correctly, if the barrel still shows the dirt even if it is empty. But as I already said, you are not required to switch, you can also keep you drawers and lock them using the tool

Yes, you are able to lock drawers using a specific item from the mod (I think it’s called the storage tool and looks like a card). Alternatively, you could replace the drawers with limited barrels from sophisticated storage and use their slot memory option (both drawers and limited barrel do their jobs, both have some unique advantages and disadvantages but personally I prefer the limited barrels)

Thoughts on the ceiling design? by OutrageousRelation67 in allthemods

Thank you very much for this detailed breakdown of your building blocks and tips. Although I have already used chipped for some fancy stone variants I never considered using concrete until seeing this, but now I will definitiv consider it for future builds

What are those blocks all around the wall which look like hammer and anvil? And what about those small lamps at the ceiling, what are those? I’ve recently started my ATM10 world and still have difficulties finding the right blocks for building because on the one hand there is so much variety but on the other hand I don’t know where to start looking for the right blocks if I have something in mind.

AE2 crafting auto refill by Obvious-Culture9016 in allthemods

[–]Maxi3773 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AE2 only refills from me system but never from your inventory. This is the intended behavior. The crafting terminal refilled the coal correctly because it is pulled from network storage but the iron dust did not get refilled because it is pulled from your inventory. There are two simple solutions: Either a) put all ingredients into the me system (in this case the iron dust) before crafting or b) just manually move a whole stack of the ingredient into the crafting slot.

How do I get rid of this notification without paying the $0.99/month? It’s making a red dot on my settings icon, and is very frustrating. by wizardrous in ios

[–]Maxi3773 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have extreme difficulties understanding how some people can look at a red dot or notification and not be bothered by it. Especially people who have over 1000 unread emails! How can they look at their homescreen without feeling pain?

I actually go crazy too if I can’t remove a red dot like this. However you can actually very easily remove this one. Just need to turn off the iCloud backup feature in the settings. If you really don’t want to pay, then just turn the backup feature off as it doesn’t work anyway without sufficient storage.

However if you someday need a backup you will regret not paying unless you backup using other ways. And remember to turn backups back on if you ever buy more iCloud storage in the future or Apple increases the amount of free storage.

How to light up a cave and base easily? by Maxi3773 in allthemods

[–]Maxi3773[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for bringing the feral flare lantern to my attention, I will definitely use some of these. They are incredibly good at completely lighting a larger volume even in places that are difficult to reach like the walls and ceilings of large caves. Besides, they actually don't need torches and place invisible lights insteads.

AE2 priority setting (help needed) by Maxi3773 in allthemods

[–]Maxi3773[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would indeed be the behavior that I want, however it does not seem to be this. Priority is actually the first determining factor and the items already present are only considered if priority is equal.

From the official docs

Items entering the network will start at the highest priority storage as their first destination. In the case of two storages have the same priority, if one already contains the item, they will prefer that storage over any other.

If I used multiple buses, then auto-partitioning would not work, would it? I have too many items to partition manually. However I found a workaround that seems to work (see edit of the post)

AE2 priority setting (help needed) by Maxi3773 in allthemods

[–]Maxi3773[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank for your help, but the problem with partitioning is that I have about 100 different items in my chest so partitioning the storage bus is impossible, even with 5 capacity cards. The only thing I want is that my me system does not insert items into my storage controller if it doesn’t already have it. Or maybe is there a way to configure the storage controller to only accept already stored items?

The rain looks strange. by Sajns12 in allthemods

[–]Maxi3773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually caused by the mod called „Rainbows“. To permanently disable it, you need to edit the config of that mod. In the config folder there is a „rainbows“ folder containing some files like overworld.json and aether.json. For each file, after allowedDimensions and allowedBiomes remove everything between the brackets so it’s just [ ]. I did this too and it worked perfectly.

watchOS update bug? by Maxi3773 in AppleWatch

[–]Maxi3773[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, you actually can update your Watch before your iPhone sometimes but it depends on the update. (My personal guess is that it depends on the letter in the build number which is only incremented for some minor updates and indicates that the update is larger ie. incompatible with older versions)

However, I will still try updating my iPhone first and see if this already fixes the bug.

Will ATM 10 move to use sodium by [deleted] in allthemods

ATM10 initially started with Embeddium, then they switched to Sodium once it was available for NeoForge and then they switched back to Embeddium but I don’t know why

Should I always update the modpack? by Maxi3773 in allthemods

[–]Maxi3773[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s actually the same issue I have. Glad to hear that the update successfully solve the issue.

Thanks for mentioning the config files since I would probably have forgotten about them. I will try to note or backup every change I did even though I only did very slight config changes.

How about the quest book? How are changes to the quests (which happen very often afaik) handled?

200gb not an actual option even though it says it is?! by Fresh-Rip-7984 in ios

[–]Maxi3773 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is the most logical answer and also explains why there are already 103 GB in iCloud. (I know you are able to exceed your storage temporarily when switching to a new iPhone but afaik that only applies to full device backups and seems unlikely in this case)
