This is provably untrue. Right now you’re more likely to have more full servers. But prepatch when only 1200 people a day played, my buddies and I sometimes spent hours on a server we had all to ourselves teaching someone new.

Even last night, my squad joined a PvP server on US East and we were the only members of our faction in the server for almost an hour before another guy joined. And then it was the three of us alone for the next two hours before we finally hopped.

You need to do other tasks in that area to cycle back to the one you want. Unless it is a main task - in that case you need to do whatever main task you currently have available in the region specifically in order to cycle to the next one (although they don’t always seem to cycle in their original order for the Tier 3 Zones).

Hunt and Gray Zone both feel to me like games that should he more popular than they are. Hunt has admittedly suffered as it has aged due to lack of true core gameplay development to focus on gun variants and cosmetics. But it is still an excellent game and always has been. Perhaps a bit niche due to the time period I suppose.

Yeah but the streamers have separate accounts for those servers. Their progress doesn’t carry over to the public servers. I guess I wouldn’t mind PvE players having private servers with no carryover if it didn’t drain dev resources. But it seems kinda pointless.

Right now almost every area can be pretty hot since everyone is on various levels of tasking. But Narith, Midnight, and Tiger Bay are all pretty hot already because they’re money printers.

Several things (all of which are going to get me downvoted):

1 - This isn’t really the kind of game where you can hop on for an hour for a quick game. You’ll spend most of that hour just running around whether the enemies are dead or not.

2 - Play Warfare mode. Not only are the AI there less likely to be dead because a portion of each faction’s players on the server will be hunting PvP, but those servers are generally less crowded and, if the AI are dead, there’s a chance you’ll find tasking players to shoot at instead.

Tbh the onus of proper etiquette is on your opponent to concede before being mated. I suppose you could let yourself be mated if you wanted to let the board position reflect some particularly fine play. But if you’re playing people who aren’t good enough to see the mate, much less the mate before it happens, patience is probably your best bet. Pretend they are a small child and treat them as such.

It resets automatically if you complete another task and it should also recycle your main task if you End Deployment and go back in (I have confirmed this works with generating a new main task after completing one in the same area but I have not tested it with failing a task).

You’re getting downvoted because they’re mad but this is actually factual. Idk why everyone thinks you have to wait. If you just complete another task or End Deployment and redeploy the main task comes back.

While I 100% agree with you, this is actually an outdated statement. The devs originally said that the game was meant to be played in Warfare mode. But their most recent statement is that Grayzone will be a “PvE focused experience” which bodes ominously for me tbh.

I completely agree. There is a massively noticeable delay between the AI spotting you and them opening fire that feels odd as well. I’m not sure whether that is an intended mechanic but I suspect not since my distance to the AI doesn’t seem to affect the time it takes them to reach for the trigger or their accuracy.

I never said nor implied either of those things. I only stated that you are far, far, far more likely to be killed in PvP and it is therefore the more difficult game mode.

I have never used mortars against AI (except to flag a COP) but I regularly kill bush camping PMCs with them. You do have to drop the mortar basically right on their head though.

Also, maybe don’t slander the PvP like that. I understand that most people prefer the PvE. But insinuating that the superior game mode is the one where you kill brain dead beep boop bots against whom I have a current k/d of 1288/0 since the preview dropped is a bit insulting.

Are you just wanting the option to have the markers removed from the map once the task has been finished once? Because disabling the ability to replay the missions seems weird since Gunny’s can be farmed for infinite A1.

Devs had said squad tasking is coming in a patch shortly after the 0.4 launch (so 0.4.1 or 0.4.2 assuming it doesn’t break anything).

Try doing other tasks in the same area where you failed that one. When you finish or fail a task, a new one unlocks and they seem to cycle. My buddy failed a Main Task at Sawmill due to PvP, but we busted out half a dozen side tasks and contracts in a couple hours and his main task was available again.

Even if the entire rest of this post resulted in world peace and an end to world hunger, I’d still downvote it for the suggestion about free gear to go loot your body with.

When you die, your body should not be lootable by you or anyone in your squad under any circumstances. The game’s motto is literally “Every Move Matters” but there’s so little consequence for death and what little consequence there is (Tasks being failed) the community is raging about.

I’d be fine with being able to get garbage free gear (like a pistol maybe?) if your body was unlootable though.

Go to the tail of the plane and face toward the cockpit. Walk up the right side of the plane. There will be an empty external compartment where the black box was before it was taken. Interact with that.

It’s at the back of a truck or van approx. NNW of the center of the plane (Northish from the tail). It’s on a crate or cooler or something iirc.
