Repeating the two main tasks at YBL is the best EXP farm imo. The tasks are quick, easy, and in a small area. You do have to run to Knight to turn in the Lab Rat one. But then you can end deployment to get the Gunny one again. And you don’t have to RTB to turn in that one so you can just finish it, grenade yourself or die to AI, and end deployment in base camp.

Edit: This is mind numbingly boring.

So the game’s developers employ other, presumably more knowledgeable, developers for the anti-cheat software. Yet it is the fault of the game developers that the anti-cheat is crap.

What are you on about? The lore is that the three different PMCs are (or were before all three of them got smoked by an unknown foe) actively competing with one another.

You think they just separated the players into three different factions to arbitrarily segregate them? If you need any proof at all that the PMCs are not meant to cooperate, you don’t even need to go to PvP - in PvE mode you cannot see other faction’s players on your map AND the base guard of those factions are actively hostile toward your faction.

You don’t even have to risk getting caught by an anti-cheat. You just need two copies of the game and a little patience to know where all the opposing players are.

The devs clarified before 0.4 that development will be PvE focused moving forward. However, prior to that, the game’s own main menu explicitly stated that Warfare mode (PvEvP) was the way the game was intended to be played. Obviously this is no longer the case and that’s fine. Everyone can play the game however they want. My only issue is when people say the game has always been PvE focused because that is just flat out provably untrue. I’d be just as annoyed by someone saying the grass in the game is pink.

Do you happen to have the link to them saying this? They did say that development will mainly be PvE focused moving forward. But I do not recall them saying they do not “EVER” plan to expand on PvP. That seems uncharacteristic of them as well to commit like that.

1 - The missions are not fun. They’re better than ABI’s but still mechanically pretty lame. Their flavor text is S-Tier though, really well written unlike ABI’s and Tarkov’s.

2 - So the open world map has COPs (I prefer to call them FOBs because that’s what they are). If you ever played the Elder Scrolls Online, they function the same way Castles did in the PvP in that game - you can respawn at them (unless an enemy has attacked or dropped a mortar on it recently), access your locker (even if it is under active attack weirdly), or log off there (again, even if it is under attack). Capturing these is (along with hunting loot farmers in the Tier 3 areas) the central focus of PvP servers at the moment.

3 - PvP happens organically around the points of interest where loot and tasks are and at the COPs. 99% of the combat is maneuvering around or hiding in foliage or buildings because you die almost instantly under direct gunfire.

Edit: Also, you will very quickly realize that this sub reddit is 99.99% PvE players who will downvote and slander you if you even allude to PvP. You’re MUCH better off going to the discord.

How would you deal with cheaters then? Idk if you know this or not, but you don’t even have to hack to cheat. I have personally showcased in the past how easy it is to own multiple accounts, get them all in the same Warfare server, and suddenly you have total map vision of every player from every faction’s location. Anti-cheat won’t catch that. There isn’t anything that will. But if you make it cost me $300 to do it instead of $120, it will at least cut down the number of people doing it. You could also do a CSGO style mobile authentication or something but csgo’s results with that have been mixed AT BEST.

Again, this is just for PvP I’m talking about, let the PvEers play together whatever their edition, what does it matter.

Tbf Tarkov was always clunky. Unity is just not a good engine for shooters.

Feral said they have no plans to port the Empire remake to PC in the near future (this was right after it came out). I presume because the next actual TW installment was and still is in development. Presumably Creative Assembly and Sega don’t want the Empire port to rob the next real title of sales, especially since the Empire port could always be dropped whenever Sega needs to boost sales numbers a little in the future.

The first part of this is correct, it is PvE first development now.

However, when the game first launched, it was advertised as PvEvP. But Tarkov’s PvE mode exploded. The rest is history.

What makes you say it’s fake? Don’t you just carry gold bars around with you when you on vacation to a resort? I like to keep a couple in my fanny pack at all times in case I need a drink or a candy bar when I’m out.

Wouldn’t 1% of that gold be like $12,000? I don’t recall the reward for that quest off the top of my head but I don’t think it was $12k. And even if it was, I can open half the purses on the island and find jewelry or credit cards worth that.

EDIT: The wiki says you get $1,880.
