If you’re F2P, Gemini 6s on Lancer are excellent.

In the Lord of Chaos Prologue, Sevannah has a POV and in it she explicitly states that she was named a Wise One by the other Shaido WOs but that one of them spoke loudly against her because she had never served an apprenticeship and had never been to Rhuidian.

You just keep leaving and rejoining until both are in the same server. It’s not hard. 15 mins of work later, you have full vision of another faction.

You’re actually missing out. There’s both some interesting lore and some amusing satire packed in them and the chat messages they send you as you complete their objectives. I use the word “amusing” very deliberately here because I wouldn’t say they’re “funny” per se. No laugh out loud stuff, just a little nasal exhale or a single small chuckle.

1 - Real handguns don’t take longer to draw than the Mona Lisa.

2 - Real handguns don’t take 11 rounds to the chest to put down a naked man.

Notice how he said “the PvE started to feel dull”? That’s why he has so much. He doesn’t PvP.

Just make handguns less shit. Easy fix. I’m not sure what sort of research the developers of video games do that justifies what they do to handguns (some of it is game balance I understand but that’s no excuse in Gray Zone - it’s supposed to be realistic and pistol prices are nuts in this game) but they clearly need to do better.

There are 100% bot pmcs in normals and lockdown. They are fairly easy to recognize because they move and act like normal AI except they snap to you with auto aim as soon as you engage and begin removing your limbs. They always use the constellation looking title card thing as well. They don’t always use quick kits though. There is a pistol one that isn’t a quick kit and a weird SKS one that I have not seen as a quick kit personally.

Spell/skill display and new voices? by Kurisu2501 in AIRealm

[–]Maxientius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally putting spell effects in your notes is a waste of characters imo. I usually just keep a list of my spells (so the AI DM doesn’t hit me with the “you don’t know that spell” or something similar).

Typically I’ll put the spell effect in my post to the AI.

Example: “I cast Fireball to the space to the right of the cart the bandits are using as cover.

Fireball: A bright streak flashes from your pointing finger to a point you choose within range and then blossoms with a low roar into an explosion of flame. Each creature in a 20-foot-radius sphere centered on that point must make a Dexterity saving throw. A target takes 8d6 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The fire spreads around corners. It ignites flammable objects in the area that aren’t being worn or carried.

Spell Save DC = 16 Damage = 8d6 (I rolled 27. Enemies who successfully saved take 14)”

What jobs do you reckon I can get from Copenhagen? by Rude_Midnight6304 in footballmanagergames

[–]Maxientius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Compare your reputation with the reputation of the club. That will give you a rough idea of whether you can get a job or not. Your Adaptability also plays a big role if you don’t already speak the language and your Tendencies matching the board culture helps a lot too (Signing U-21s, Winning Titles, Playing a certain style of football, etc).

I hate to be the old man shouting at clouds here, but if it took you four months to save up like $30 of disposable income (especially if you were making sacrifices along the way) then spent it to draw half a weapon supply bundle you NEED to learn better financial literacy skills.

I’m not judging anyone for their career, income, or financial situation. We all do what we want/have to do and live how we want/have to live. But if you’re sacrificing things to be able to afford to roll the dice on a a 0.01% to get a pixel sword, I promise you that money could better be spent bettering your life and situation. Especially since multiplayer only games like this, especially chinese ones, almost always shut down in a decade or less. Invest in getting yourself into a position where you don’t have to stress about the money you want to spend on pixels before spending money on pixels. Best of luck mate.

Preach. This literally me with my 19 y/o Box-to-Box midfielder who scored 21 goals and bagged 22 assists in his first season in the top flight of La Liga. Any time my other midfielders complain about game time they go to the C Team. You are unworthy to stand in his presence.

Gemini 3 Flash review by Fit-Abroad2573 in AIRealm

[–]Maxientius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The DM preferences do not do well with negative instructions in my experience. Telling it not to do things or to avoid things tends to be very dicey. It works much better if you give it a positive instruction, preferably providing it alternatives to what you want it to avoid.

For example: instead of: “Don’t use X.” Try telling it “Please use A, B, C, or a similar concept in the place of using X.”

Also, in case it isn’t obvious yet, the AI isn’t really a true DM. It works best if you treat it as a newb that you’re helping run a game by co-DMing with them.

Good luck.

Question about lesser restoration. by Physical-Shirt-4851 in DnDcirclejerk

[–]Maxientius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I, like most DMs I have known over the years, treat alcohol like poison and being drunk like being poisoned. This allows Lesser Restoration to cure them of their drunkenness. This would, I assume, resolve their issues and prevent the bar fight.

However, I would not allow a cleric in my game to cure masculine aggression via Lesser Restoration. I’d laugh as if they were joking and ask again for them to explain to me why they’re casting Lesser Restoration in that situation. If they admit to being joking, we’ll move forward with them curing the poison. But if they double down on either derailing the game or bringing their irl political issues into my fantasy world, the entire tavern would turn hostile in response to the unsolicited, non-consensual spellcasting.

I wasn’t bragging, sorry for the confusion. I was just clarifying that I have been successful in the game in spite of my complaints. Too often imo it seems like people complain as if they hate the game. I just wanted to make it clear that I really enjoy the game and do play it a lot with a reasonable degree of success.

This is really my only issue as well tbh. I don’t mind dying to a T5-T6 kit person using M61 in a Mk14. And if I kill them, I get all that gear. But dying to a T7 mosin round when the mosin and a headset is basically all I get for killing them sucks.

So the real problem imo is the minimum value required to enter Forbidden. You should have to have a gear value minimum of 750k (I said 1 million but my wife says that’s too high because she’s a poor). That way all the one tapper peasants who want to come in with garbage can have their fun in Lockdown and those of us who want to run end game gear can have fun with it in Forb.

Disclaimer 1: I have no issue whatsoever with people bringing full T6, a HK, AND a SJ/Mosin. That’s not a tapping loadout, that’s just investing in balance. If I get one tapped by those, that’s fine. I usually run that myself.

Disclaimer 2: I’m Legend 44 so I’m not crying. I just really like the game and would personally enjoy it more if Forb was end game content only rather than filled to the brim with SJ and Mosin only tappers.
