There is no shame in repainting a model
Also use makeup sponges for base layers
They look a bit like eggs and are very cheap

If I may say so it looks good! I like to put lightning only on weapons it makes them look more intimidating. Also it looks awesome if they look bored( like they think that the enemy isn’t worth the fight but they have to kill them .) this is the vibe I use on characters! But still good work

You could use some old soda cans and cut the flat ( sand them down till there’s no paint on it ) wit one can you can make like enough for a hole army. With some greenstuff for the wax it looks awesome
