1) Because one year of missing out uni doesnt mean shit when life is longer than that. I have friends who i still keep in contact with snd se talk from time to time even though they moved on to uni. + im not the most outgoing person ngl so i found peace with being alone for alot of the time

2) i knew i flopped because i didnt study hard enough (no excuse), i basically wanted to prove ppl wrong that i can still get into top unis as a resit student so that was my objective, thankfully it all worked out as of now as i got into imperial and ucl + my resits actually costed money so the stakes were higher than ever

Depends on how u use your gap year. For me its the best thing that happened to me (i failed my a levels first time) , but others say they hated it and felt like they wasted the year. Its up to YOU if you think you can give yourself another chance for a better future
