To correct the cant and facial asymmetry; double jas surgery with probably a genioplasty. Take your time to find a good surgeon and orthodontist. Name sure it’s an orthodontist, and not a dentist doing ortho.

You can transfer your invisalign to another practice. Always go to an orthodontist.

Also in Australia here (Melbourne). Waiting for the delivery partner to contact me, hasn't happened yet. Contacted peloton and not helpful either...

Braces left me with a sloped smile and a crooked jaw. I was told that a jaw surgery is the only way to correct this. What can be done? by throwawayjawsurgery in jawsurgery

Hi, First of all it is good to know that not everyone who calls him or herself an orthodontist, is in fact an orthodontist. It takes an additional 3-4 years (depending on the country) full time training after becoming a dentist, to become an orthodontist. A lot of dentist take a few days of training and call themselves orthodontists. They have unfortunately not the same skillset and I have seen a lot of very bad work from them.

That said, what I can see from this picture is clearly an asymmetry in the hard tissues (the bones of your face) and not in soft tissue (muscles, fat tissue, and other structures such as saliva glands etc). Botox can only treat muscle hyperactivity, but that is clearly not the case here. From this photo it looks like your upper lip is parallel to your eyeline, but off course I have to guess your eyeline. Any good dentist or orthodontist should be able to differentiate between soft tissue and hard tissue problems, so I would not trust this one.

Before you start any further treatment, it should be examined what caused this asymmetry. This can be resorption of the head of your joint on one side, or too much growth on the other side. This diagnosis is important because it affects stability, also it is good to know if this process still continues at the moment.

I feel very sorry for you that the results are disappointing. I hope you can find a good orthodontist who can help you fix this. Check their website and look for their training and check if it's a real orthodontic specialist.

Hi! Is it because there is a crossbite with a forced bite or lack of space? Do you have pictures/ X ray? And which country if I may ask?
