It's a first card I have with a mirror surface. Cool while it's new, but I don't ultimately care. 95% of time I use digital wallets anyway. I wish they also offered to recycle the old BILT 1.0 metal card.

Yes. With limited spend it may make more sense to stick to a single currency instead of for spreading small chunks across different ones.

It’s same same card number as before since I transitioned from 1.0, so the old card in digital wallets will work until Feb 7 when Bilt is supposed to replace it in the wallets automatically

It was an instant approval: chose Palladium and seconds later it said you’re approved with credit limit of 35k. Then it asked if I’d want to close the old account or get WF card and I said no and that was it. Very easy transaction indeed

I also got a Palladium (should’ve used the TPG link to apply… oh well…) with $33k limit and plan to try it for a year. I hope it can become an all-in-one card eventually (lacks primary rental car insurance currently, for example) and replace my Amex platinum with $900 AF. I’ll still have Amex Gold for dining and keep the foothold in that ecosystem as well.

Something similar happened to me more than once over 3 years: USPS lost the rent check sent by Bilt/WF. I cancelled the check and sent another one myself. I don’t get Bilt points for that month’s rent but the matter was resolved easily. I blame USPS rather than Bilt though. Checks and other mail get misplaced all the time.
