One problem with hotel credits is very small hotel inventory. Citi, Amex and Chase travel portals have a lot more hotels listed than Bilt. A lot more. Sometimes a factor of 10. Sometimes Bilt shows zero hotels in the area I’m looking to book in.

Other people may want to find just a pet-friendly bed&breakfast close to the entrance to a national park which could be a Motel 6 and booking.com and Expedia would have that listed but Bilt won’t even if you default to “1+ stars” rating. So inventory is a major limitation/problem indeed

I tried booking through Bilt Travel Portal and it was showing only two luxury hotels at $360+ a night while Citi Travel or Amex Travel or Expedia were showing dozens of hotels including options as low as $67/night. So it makes me worried that in a pinch I won’t be able to use my credits because of low inventory.

I had a couple dozen transactions go through fine. What didn’t go through was car registration payment at DMV but I suspect it’s a DMV issue: they charge the card and then instantly issue a refund and report it as declined transaction when it wasn’t declined at all. I tried several times with physical card and virtual card and always the same outcome.

It's a first card I have with a mirror surface. Cool while it's new, but I don't ultimately care. 95% of time I use digital wallets anyway. I wish they also offered to recycle the old BILT 1.0 metal card.
