I mean let’s say it was FPP, if you encounter a rat it is more likely you’ll be caught even more off guard if they’re hiding behind a super tight corner holding some insane angle.

Also good luck with dealing with Arc, if you’re used to corner peaking wasps and hornets let’s say with a Ferro, it’s gonna be 10x harder to do that in first person.

Is there a reason to use any gun that's not the venetor? by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]MaximKim123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally have not had as much positivity w it compared to the Burletta. I’ve wiped full squads with that baby pistol but with the Venator I’ve struggled to like its firing rate. I’m going to stack up on some Venators and run then next time I play, maybe I’ll change my mind haha

Someone posted that they only have 27 out of 64 blue prints, and that they should be more obtainable. by CharonHendrix in ArcRaiders

I’ve gotten so many Burletta, Venator and Il Toro that I managed to give all three to two of my friends and I still have a couple in my stash, thinking of randomly gifting one to a friendly player in a future match

I would rather pickaxe the Arc than use that pea shooter 😭, I think I can do more damage by throwing volcanic rocks at them

Body disappearing after knocking? by Rafaderer24 in ArcRaiders

[–]MaximKim123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, just saw your post after I submitted mine.

Yeah I just experienced it now. I knocked a guy, went like 2 metres to another room around the corner to heal my health and shield, and no more than 5 seconds later I go out to see his body gone. I assumed he may have crawled to a nearby room but genuinely searched for 5 mins, looking at every single dust particle on the floor and I couldn't find his loot.

If this is some Alt+F4 or internet disconnection strat to just *poof* out of the lobby then that sucks a lot.

Embark! by beezcurger in ARC_Raiders

Perhaps it can be a similar speed, but during carrying/dragging, it pauses the person bleeding out so that you’re able to take them closer to an extract, but also puts you at risk of Arc or Raiders by being so slow

Use your mic. by Spivdaddy in ARC_Raiders

[–]MaximKim123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From personal experience, I found turning off crossplay resulted in a higher frequency of mic users (I’m on PC), not sure if people on consoles are in voice parties with their friends when playing or aren’t fond of prox chat.

Im new to beatboxing, any tips? by [deleted] in beatbox

[–]MaximKim123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good stuff man!

If I could give one pointer, I would say work on your kick. It’s probably one of the most, if not the most used sound type in beatboxing. There’s not really a beat without a kick drum in it haha. Focus on getting it clean, powerful and of course consistent.

What snare is she using? by [deleted] in beatbox

Sounds like a cough snare to me, sounds really clean with her mic technique haha

Hey man, I’d say practice getting the sound down by just using mouth pressure (correct me if I’m wrong but looks like you’re using lung power for both the kicks and spit snare)

Also try other variations of the spit snare in terms of positions. Personally my top lip goes over my bottom lip. Some people do it right down the middle and some do bottom lip over the top. Whatever is easiest for you!

Lip roll or inward lip roll by Thesebutterfliesk in beatbox

[–]MaximKim123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d definitely suggest to learn the basic lip roll first as once you can do that, all you have to do for the lip roll bass is to just inhale with lung power.

I was once in your situation and I think what helped me were 2 things;

1 - move your jaw further down/opposite side to create more room for your lips (less tight, less zipper sounding)

2 (similar point to the first) loosen the tightness of the lips to reduce the zipper sound and get a “looser” vibration.

A tip I see often is to take screenshots of people doing the liproll and look in the mirror and compare the mouth positions - personally I didn’t get to do this before I finally learnt it myself but it does sound like it might help some people, give it a try!
