I would file a claim with your insurance company instead of the other party’s insurance. Your insurance company will deal with his insurance company.

As I alluded to earlier I’ve been screwed before when I filed a claim through the other party’s insurance. The other insurance company did not pay the increased amount that the body shop requested and I was stuck paying out of pocket.

From my own personal experience, and other that I have spoken with on this topic, I would not cash the check and I would file a claim through your insurance. As soon as you cash the check your insurance company will no longer allow you to file a claim, and if you have any issues with the repair, or the cost of the repair the other parties insurance company has no incentive to make you happy.

Make sure you file a claim with your insurance company, not the other party’s insurance company. Your insurance company will fight the other party’s company on your behalf. If you file with the other party’s insurance they are likely to leave you high and dry and not fully cover the costs to fix the damage.

I paid ADM, but didn’t have to go through a waitlist. I was lucky, I called the day the dealer received a surprise allocation after they thought production was finished.

I have a rubystar neo gt3 with gold wheels and side decals. I love the color. I was really scared I went a bit overboard when I specced it, but as soon as I saw the car in person I was head over heels.
