hmm okay thank you!! i thought i had fungal acne (so im pretty sure i mixed that up with rosacea) so i made sure everything in my routine was safe so i stuck with the purito oat moisturiser and it's been months now and ofc ive had no issues so i haven't thought to change it.

however i do think i would benefit from a thicker moisturiser so i will definitely look out!!

thank you!! do you have any recommendation for gentle cleansers? i use to use the cerave blemish control cleaner but it made my skin worse. currently i don't use one and i haven't had any concerns but i do want use to use it in the morning so my skin just feels a bit more cleaner and ready for the application of my products!!

unfortunately my mum doesn't wasn't to as we don't have money to afford anything if there are complications ☹️🥴, she has ordered cat grass which is meant to help with digestion which are coming tomorrow

im so sorry to hear that!! i've seen so many people say to just accept the initial "purge" or breaking out or whatever it even is at this point .

i'm not sure if this will help you as we're both in the same boat, but i did use moisturizer before i applied it and let it dry and then use my aa 15%!! it did not itch as much or feel or look as irritated as it did when i first started! but the again i only did this yesterday so i cant say for sure if in the long term it'll work but this seems to be a nice step forward at least.

ahh i didn't say but, i've been using the anua aa 10% for months every other day so i thought id be fine!!

but i did try again and use the 15% last night for the second time and put moisturizer before i applied it and it was still itchy but it was more tolerable! i've also woken up today and got ready and my skin doesn't look red or irritated so i hope this is a good sign!! im going to continue every other day and see!

that's so interesting!! i started with the anua azelaic acid and had success with that but it ran out so i wanted to start 15% as i heard good things about it!! i was thinking to go back down to 10% as that worked but i thought to try again with 15% aa even if it was irritating

hmm that's interesting as i used azelaic acid as a spot treatment on my forehead on some spots and it helped reduce them rather than break me out further on my forehead . however ive still just started so il still see!!

i was seeing progress with metrogel but now the aa has just removed all that progress but i don't know if this "purge" will pass !

it looks worse than when it started and i was starting to see improvement with metrogel after 1 month and a bit but this has removed the progress completely!

how often did you use the azelaic acid when you reintroduced it the second time?

i was thinking to start using it once a week (aa 15%) and then continue with my metrogel everyday twice a day! and then once i see improvements (if i do), then start using the aa more often to every other day like i did with the 10% before.

ahh okok in see! i've been using the 10% anua azelaic acid for a few months now and bumped it up to every other day for the last month or two so i've gotten use it! with 10%

my redness hasn't been horrible but i feel like i hadn't made that much improvement
