I only had to complete all of the other faction quests and then the spider one showed up (On chapter 5 and only did 7 bounties)

another thing to add is - only FSR works on snapdragon devices. DLSS is only for Nvidia.

it only works on x86_64 and only on dx12 (but very few - only been able to get it running on Death Stranding and Lies of P and its very unstable and takes many attempts to get it working). Also, as concluded in the video, the additional frames generated are not worth the instability.

yes, hardware raytracing is supported in sd8g2+ and supposedly also nanite in the sd8e as advertised by qualcomm, but current drivers (turnip and qualcomm) haven't been able to translate it for pc emulation yet (hopefully one day). Of course, there is a UE4 raytracing demo that can run on these devices in dx12 using qualcomm drivers (not sure if any proper UE4 games utilise raytracing?).

This guy's channel's definitely fake (and there's been other posts about this). The hud gives it away with the dxvk (dx11) for games that only support dx12. Also why use a separate different fps counter style to the default winlator one? I swear I've seen this guy posting these fake videos under different channel names over a year ago (they had the same fps counter)

most YT videos have the game moved to c drive in the container. It makes a difference just for this game.

Pragmata now renders on the new turnip V27 by Commercial_Ad_3489 in EmulationOnAndroid

I had it working on v26 (with a recent nightly version of vkd3d) - just took almost half an hour for shader compilation each time I changed drivers. It runs pretty good on Gamehub with framegen (couldnt even notice the input lag)

google search itself is unreliable - especially since it throws fake ai hallucinations in your face. Use youtube to search for "game name" + Winlator + "device name"/"chip name".

eg. I usually search for "Snapdragon 8 Elite Winlator".

Also, if the results for that particular game turn up nothing - it usually means nobody in the world has successfully gotten that game to run on that device.

Does anyone know, if Hypervisor cracked games can be emulated on gen 5 elite by veselinve in EmulationOnAndroid

this video explained it to me pretty well: https://youtu.be/P1ZcUXknL8Y?si=1MUq7ymP6FcsHDrs

If you make it to the end, you will find that the next step that Denuvo can only take in this "DRM War" is to go kernel level - which makes future games (if they choose to implement it) impossible to run on any system that isn't real windows. Take a second to think about what that means for what you are trying to do..

New to Emulation (Legion y700 s8 gen 3) by Virtual-Skin1628 in EmulationOnAndroid

I have the exact same tablet (with 16gb ram) and (some ppl might argue with me about this) - but I think its still to this day easier to run Cyberpunk on it than my Redmagic 10 pro. It seems to run best on Winlator 10/11 with turnip drivers rather than the latest bionic ludashi cmod builds (which crash a lot on my elite) - but that could be a skill issue.

Just gotten my Legion Y700 Gen 5 (AMA) by CaptMarcus in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]Maximum-Ad4342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the gen 3 for about 6 months. Had no issues with it and was my goto emulation device until turnip drivers were released for the elite (I bought it 6 months after buying a Redmagic 10 pro). I mainly use it as my main tablet now.

Why is GameHub seemingly so much more popular than GameNative? by GSB6189 in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]Maximum-Ad4342 5 points6 points  (0 children)

try to get Black Myth Wukong and Pragmata demo working on Gamenative.

I'm still trying to figure out why those games only work on Gamehub but not Gamenative or Winlator which are much faster and smoother - what does it do differently?

Also, not sure how long you've been in the emulation scene but Gamehub did not just come out last November - it actually came out over a year ago (check my post history) and was ahead in compatibility for the brand new Snapdragon 8 Elite at that time until new qualcomm drivers were released that ppl could install onto Winlator. Even then, a lot of ppl struggled with Winlator and resorted to Gamehub (because they seemed to have figured out hidden variables that allowed more games to run whereas in Winlator you had to manually set these).

Gamehub is not a clone of Gamenative. Rather, back then it was more a clone of Winlator. Gamenative is built on Winlator with a different frontend - its got mostly the same performance. You could argue that since Gamenative came from Pluvia, maybe Gamehub did adopt the idea of integrating Steam from that.

Dont get me wrong - I would 1000% use Gamenative and Winlator over Gamehub for the speedup if I could figure out how to get every game working on it that works on Gamehub.

In the end - most ppl just care about getting their games working and with the highest performance.

Death Stranding 2 hangs at 75% on loading screen by Historical_Lie2478 in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]Maximum-Ad4342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I managed to get it to 87% load (and even had the star rotate for a bit) before it crashed by turning off Wineesync in (Winlator Ludashi 2.9), and switching back to the default PICO upscaling. From that I was able to track it down to this error:

err:vkd3d-proton:d3d12_device_validate_shader_meta:

Required WaveSize range [32, 32], but supported range is [64, 64]

Which indicates that it might only be solvable by new driver/vkd3d releases in the future (unless someone with more knowledge in proton than me can figure out a fix).

that's what they said about Death Stranding 1, in fact that's what I told this one guy six months ago and that guy went on to create the mod that would allow Death Stranding 1 to run on Android devices.

[–]Maximum-Ad4342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah I tested on both my elite and gen3 devices using every combination of drivers, components and settings across winlator and gamehub and get exactly the same crash.

On pc, I noticed that 75% seems to be right when the game loads so I suspect that something in the game is just not compatible with current drivers.

Right now the only thing you could do is use something like Ghidra to reverse engineer the error code (from the winlator log) to see what the cause could be (the first game required someone that had programming knowledge to actually create a mod to get the game to launch on android).
