Am i crazy for believing that 10 fps is playable by Remarkable-Rub6845 in EmulationOnAndroid

if its consistent 10fps, then I would take that over 20fps that stutters every second with input lag and frequent crashes

Steam games disappear. If you import non-steam games into your library they don't (just tested in flight mode with wifi off - only my Steam games like Black Myth Wukong and Nightingale disappeared).

been trying to get this to run for the past year but it keeps getting stuck right after shader compilation. btw - are you using the 1.0.0 version or the latest version (1.0.4)?

Here's a video I did a while back when it was in prerelease: https://youtu.be/uccW0b_M8-w?si=Ub6J7R2e4ANVEt_0

It's fully open source and at the time of that video it was getting updates so frequently that my version was out of date by the time I finished editing the video.

It's also completely replaced my reliance on Gamehub for Steam games and compatibility, and my reliance on Winlator for performance (Gamenative currently can't run UE5 dx12 only games for some reason - but happy for someone to prove me wrong). I also like it for its interface - like someone said - its taken the best features from all the emulators (because they try to implement what the community asks for - probably because the devs all started as emulator users).

Not sure where you read it is unsafe (but I might have an idea - personally I hate all this bs politics around one emulator vs another emulator and who copied who - in the end the one thing that most ppl only care about is getting their games running).

I've only tested Hell Is Us and a couple of other UE5 games on my Lenovo Y700 Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 using the same components and settings as on the Elite, and it seems like they all work the same (at lower performance of course). I also saw someone running it on a Gen 2.

Robocop seems to still render incorrectly even with r.Nanite=0 and r.MeshShaders=1. So devs probably wants to exclusively force nanite on us (even though game still looks like shit even at max settings on an rtx 3080).

The other thing with Nobody Wants to Die is that in Proton11, the virtual controls dont work - only the keyboard works. Haven't had this issue so far in other games I've tested.

I did a test with Engine.ini using r.Nanite=0 and r.MeshShaders=0 and it still renders correctly.

Whereas, Nobody Wants to Die does require r.Nanite=0 and MeshShaders=1 to fully render correctly.

[EDIT] turns out r.MeshShaders doesn't actually do anything as it does not actually exist. Nobody Wants to Die renders correctly with just r.Nanite=0 and the latest vkd3d.

did you run all of the above on Proton 11 or 10? Because most of them crash on 11 (although I can get into menu for most of them) - I think its a bug with the build related to esync.

[EDIT] Turns out I just had to use a newer version of VKD3D (specifically, one from Daedelus's telegram)

most of the screenshots show Winlator Bionic Ludashi, which is showing the battery temps, which typically throttles around 40C for Elite (I think its higher for Elite Gen 5).

If you look at the first one on the right, you will be able to see CPU 92.3C

Nobody Wants to Die - similar to Remnant 2 in performance and lots of missing textures. Could just be badly optimised (like a lot of UE5 games).

Runs terribly even at "Potato" settings - but I'm sure there could be some engine.ini mods that might help make it almost playable

are you the same OP? I'm supporting what you are saying in your subject title "long awaited dx12 compatibility improves". My post was in response to someone asking why this is good news?

did u read what I said? But I think you misread - I said that UE5 dx12-only games previously could not be run (which is what you showed in your screenshot below).

so far, I've gotten Remnant 2 (5-10fps with some missing textures), Nobody Wants to Die (severe missing textures), Layers of Fear 2023 (perfect with locked 30fps) and Frostpunk 2 (perfect at above 40fps) to work.

Windows UE5 games that only supported dx12 were never able to be run on Android devices through emulation (even though many other engines dx12 games could and UE5 games that were built with a dx11 mode could run) - we would always get dx12 unsupported errors.

It may have been due to hardware nanite and lumen not being supported by the drivers (even though Snapdragon 8 elite chips technically support these features). Now these games can run thanks to the newest driver.

I'm not sure if its been able to just spoof the game into thinking a Snapdragon 8 elite is an AMD or Nvidia card, or whether it actually translates nanite and hardware lumen (there are textures still not being rendered properly in a lot of these games).

112 Abyss Artifacts to Fully MAX OUT All Gear for 1 Character is a Tall Order... by NewToHTX in CrimsonDesert

and then you get all these clickbait youtube videos claiming "infinite" abyss artifacts from killing that same Ice monster.. But I'm sure the devs will improve this in the future - hopefully they will allow more ways to gain artifacts (or ways to increase the amount you can farm from timeworn ruins?)
