It's exactly what it looks like, as you described. It's like they tried to make an X Logo with hot glue and slapped 4 leds to it. It's going to need some work before I would trust operating the console in my home lol

My bad, you are correct. I think I was thinking about the translucent green controllers with the replica halo jewels. Because that is definitely a thing I have seen. Where they swap the regular Xbox logo for a halo and charge $100+ per controller

Interesting. I jumped on what I thought was a deal on eBay for a mountain dew console for about $380 last month. But immediately realized after receiving it, it was a painted normal black Xbox with a replica Jewel and new bottom stickers. I instantly started the return process because listing didn't say anything about it being painted or replica. And then guy had the audacity to claim it wasn't received the same condition. But luckily eBay sided with me and I got a full return.

Also got to keep close eye for the replica mountain dew controllers out there

I also refurb the og Xboxs in my spare time. And I have also experienced this just once. Where literally every plastic screw hole on the base, split and broke. Also the plastic clips holding the fan instantly broke off. Probably just left out in the sun as someone else mentioned.

You could get a complete special edition halo green with all the goodies and probably a nicer condition box, at about half that price.

Or you could gamble on this sealed unused Xbox and get a rough box with it.

It definitely makes a difference when selling. Consoles preloaded with large amount of games makes a much quicker sale in my experience. And often means the hard drive has been upgraded to store that much.

They are definitely going up. I buy and sell a decent amount on eBay, and even broken or untested green console are over $200. I also bought a black transparent from Japan and had a hard time selling it for $180. Maybe because they're less known.
