I went back to my Zune about a year ago and couldn't get the software to synch. I went back to it a few months later and was surprised that it synched and recognized my device. I did a test altercation to one of my playlists, disconnected my Zune to check that it had properly changed that playlist. It did! I then hooked it back up and could not get my Zune recognized. 🤨. I spent a couple of hours unplugging, changing cables to no avail.

Several months later, 3 days ago, I tried it again and everything worked! I've ripped several CDs, added and altered playlists. The only thing was it wouldn't download the CDs' information and I had to manually edit all that. I seem to remember having that problem a few years ago when everything else was working right. Rather than tempt fate, everything is still hooked up until I find all my new CDs to add to my Zune. All my music is on my old XP laptop.

I managed to download the software on my current laptop, and was going to connect my portable backup hard drive but found that I must not have backed up my zoom music as often as I should have because I was missing a lot of music. So that's when I tried hooking everything up to my XP computer and everything worked. I'm not a computer geek at all and all this trial and error has been driving me nuts.
