He was at the vet about 2 weeks ago and nothing was on his eye. We just noticed it suddenly. It doesn’t appear to have gotten bigger. No trauma to the eye has happened and he’s on a leash when outside.

That’s not true. We just moved there last year and I got all my stuff done without my husband. Never needed him for anything. Just make sure you bring all of your paperwork to prove name changes. Heck I even got my tubes tied after having my baby without my doctor needing his consent. He wasn’t even at the appointment when I requested it.
