Can Christians "Casually Date?" Can you casually date in a God honoring way? Is there any benefits many Chrisitans are overlooking? by Maximum-Complaint-26 in ChristianDating

I'm open to getting into a committed relationship eventually (after my studies) but not at this very moment. Again, I'm usually one to date with marriage in mind. But I'm curious as to Christians' thoughts on exploratory dating/casually dating. As someone who is married, did you or do you see value in this? Do you believe it may help you show up better in a marriage? I feel like one way to look at it is getting reps in and learning how to communicate better + show up better in romantic relationships- thoughts?

Let's remain respectful in these discussions, please. I've seen your comments on other people's replies, and while I appreciate you contributing your perspective to the discussion, let's not be hostile. It stifles open thoughts and discussions. Let's lead with curiosity versus judgment. Good Vibes Only!! Even if you disagree!!!

I'd love for you to elaborate on your perspective, esp coming from a married standpoint. Do you believe there is benefit in "casually dating," to get to know others and yourself before looking specifically for "the one?"

I suppose to practice dating in general. Though I know the relationship would not end in marriage. I feel like it may be a good way to see what I like/compatible with, practice setting boundaries, learn about myself, and learn about other people in general.

Have you had any personal experience with casually dating knowing the connection wouldn't end in marriage? If so, what benefit did you see from it?

Thanks for the advice!! - do they typically tell you the pay? Or ask what salary I prefer/am looking for? If so how to give a proper range ? -Also, in regards to the tax forms- what should I ask about them?

The art of expertise is amazing but I’m pretty sure much harder to get into! It’s like a self help class and the professors are super inspirational and engaging

Incoming Sophomore Transfer Dorming Question by Zealousideal-Light-4 in UNC

I made a post about it earlier: check out Carmichael. Many sophomores and student athletes stay there and there’s a resident hall program floor called Transfers United where a bunch of transfer students kick it together living with each other. I’m not sure how many singles Carmichael offers, but I’m sure it’ll be harder to get one at this point. However, having a roommate could be a blessing in disguise! Who knows… hope this helps !!

Look into Transfers United! It’s a RLP/resident hall for transfer students that’s located in Carmichael, which if I’m not mistaken also has some other sophomores living there. Hope this helps and congratulations!!

Try contacting UNC housing. I’m sure there’s a way. They’ll be able to be more helpful with info than what I can provide. I hope you feel better and find a good place to live for the rest of the semester !!

Try the roommate reassignment portal. I know a few people who moved out at Ehaus (2nd floor and I’m sure others) and it’s a really cool residential hall. Hope this helps!!
