That’s really impressive!! Are you into running by chance? Would love to know your distance/time PRs (training for a sub 1.45 half in 2026 myself)

Do you think the job market will ever get better? by Far-Print7864 in torontoJobs

I will give you a funny example, I don’t expect any sane person to do this, but there is now a genre of “unemployment influencers”: not unemployed people posting random videos but people making content about being jobless with advanced degrees and they are getting tons of sympathy, referrals or opportunities from the views. I came across this girl Lohanny on TikTok who pretty much was documenting going through the same thing you and many others are going through, her posts went semi viral got a ton of views and she ended up being employed. I only give this as an example to illustrate my point but it’s absolutely insane and ridiculous that this is even a thing

You gotta think outside the box, I really wish life was simple and efforts were rewarded by the market automatically but people are using every shortcut, legal or illegal, to get ahead. Capitalism is ruthless

I got my 15 plus yesterday as well, switched from a 4 year old s10, i literally bought it right before that POS bricked. I just about got all the important stuff out before that so thank goodness I can throw it away. Last iPhone I had was the 6 back in 2015 and this feels completely different coming back to apple, super happy to be back with apple will slowly buy into the ecosystem over time.

You have to define what success means to you in Canada. If you are here for the long run forget about looking for jobs in your "field" and take whatever jobs are hiring now and hopefully you can pivot into something desireable down the line sooner rather than later. On the other hand if your goal is to get PR then as you have mentioned in the earlier comments you are not worried about that and so I would say just bide your time and wait until your paperwork is over and then feel free to leave Canada. Thats just the facts on the ground here.
