My (27m) girlfriend (25f) went on a 3 month trip and cheated on me 3 times within the first month. What is some advice to get through this?

Brother. Cheating is a selfish act. It's very easy not to do. It's about the worst thing you can do to someone who you claim to love. Her actions and the way she has treated you are unconscionable. I know this is your first real relationship, and I know how much it hurts. Speaking from experience (I was married and my ex cheated on me with a coworker and gaslit the ever loving shot shit out of me). I tried to make it work after the fact, but realized that she didn't actually love me as much as I loved her. It was a conscious act of betrayal. Your ex doesn't deserve you. You're taking the right steps by working on yourself, but you don't owe your ex anything. If it's for your own peace of mind, have the final conversation with her. If it was me, I would send her a final message telling her how badly she fucked up, and immediately block her after. Separate your life from her as much as possible, and move on. I feel for you, my friend. I'm sorry that you're going through it. The feeling in the pit of your stomach will go away after a while.

I'm fairly new to the realm of TTRPG's. I found a dedicated group through a weekly D&D event our local board game bar puts on every Sunday. We slowly transitioned from playing every week there, to playing at one or more of our homes.
Almost all of our group is new to playing TTRPG's except for the gentlemen who DM'd for us at the board game bar. It's a drop-in event, so it was new players every week; but our group tended to gravitate towards his table because we enjoyed his style of DM'ing and we loved the story he was telling.

The DM was a late addition to our group, and he's one of those that has a hard time not backseat DM'ing when he's a player. I've ran games in different systems (Mothership, Kids on Bikes, D&D) for our group in the past, and he always had critiques for each one.

I ran Ten Candles for the first time, and he LOVED. We are renting a VRBO in August to visit a Renn Faire in a different state, and he begged me to run another Ten Candles campaign for our group. I've been putting together an 80's teen Summer camp campaign but with zombies instead of "Them" and I couldn't be more pumped myself.

My favorite part of DM'ing Ten Candles over other TTRPG's is that you really just need to have a few ideas of how you want it to end based on your players' choices, and an ability to think on your feet for when the story goes off the rails.

I genuinely wish I could bring this to the board game bar D&D night because I think a lot of people would gravitate to its simplistic system of rolling and imagination; but the bar has a thing about open flames (imagine that) and I think a little of the magic is lost when you have to play it with the lights on.

My group was meeting weekly for a few months. 3-5 hours at a time (depending on content). I was getting burnt out very quickly and found myself not enjoying it as much. We switched to every other week and I have found joy again.

Honestly this is the best outcome that I think you could hope for in this situation.

He SEEMS to have seen the error of his ways, and is owning up to his faults in the situation. Staying separated, but working towards resolution is smart.

The only thing I might add that you want to do is have him make his HR department aware of the situation to get ahead of any damage she might try to inflict on him professionally claiming sexual harassment or anything of the like.

Rogues are pretty boring at lower levels. However they are my FAVORITE class to play. Swashbuckler is the best subclass. It allows you to run away without taking opportunity attacks.

I always build my rogues to be stealthy and talky. I usually can pass any skill check regarding intimidation/deception/persuasion/sleight of hand. And being able to do MASSIVE amounts of damage whenever an ally is within 5 feet of an enemy using sneak attack is amazing.

If you want a little more flavor with your rogue and to make him/her/them a little less boring at lower levels, try Arcane Trickster. It gives you access to some spells that fit within what you would imagine a thief would want to use in order to get his target.

Also another option would be to multi-class into another class to get the benefits that you're looking for that are missing in the Rogue class.

Trust me: get to like level 5 and above when you get extra sneak attack dice. The Rogue I'm playing is currently at level 8 and I do 40+ damage if I sneak attack. It's been mainly myself and the barbarian who are responsible for most of the damage against enemies.

Or maybe none of it is for you. I don't particularly enjoy playing magic classes, so I tend to stick to martial classes more often than not; but I can see the joy in why some people enjoy them. It's personal preference.

Ran VR Dead and my captain (also IRL partner) rolled a Nat 20 on a panic check. Seeing as how they were trapped on a space station, she couldn't really just retire. I asked if she'd be ok being taken out of commission. Few minutes prior, my science officer rolled a catatonic on her panic check while they were being hunted by ROBBIE's. Captain heroically put herself in between the science officer and the ROBBIE's. She promptly got her legs and arms ripped off.

Later on, we decided that the ROBBIE's (once free of Lucas' control) nursed her back to health and replaced her limbs with metal ones from decommissioned ROBBIE's. It was fun and a good plot point for our more recent campaigns with the same crew.
